/I can't describe for the life of me, but I do have a dream for Carlos/ Carlos dreams that he and Cecil get married~
The day had been a mess to say the least, Cecil having been brought to tears twice over a multitude of things; he was stressed, and he didn't want people to be upset with him. It was understandable, of course, he was under pressure, and somehow believed Carlos of all people would be the most disappointed, but he was honestly in awe of the event; so many colours, and gorgeous decorations. If he were honest, it was a little tacky, but wasn't that just like Cecil? At least when it came to fashion, but that was alright. Better than alright, actually.
"Welcome to the wedding!" Cecil announced to Carlos from behind a door; this would be the last time they'd speak as just boyfriends. It wasn't long before they'd be taking traditional Night Valian vows, and officially call one another husbands; his heart leapt in his chest, and a small smile took to Carlos' lips.
He stood by the stone alter, each slate carved with symbols he couldn't understand; his long hair was pulled into a neat, threaded, and beaded braid with his bangs swept behind one ear. Fortunately he was allowed to wear his labcoat over his white suit; somehow it made him feel comfortable, safe in the wonderfully wild world of colour he stood in now.
Instantly reminded of his first day in Night Vale, Carlos' heart fluttered just as the music kicked up. An odd tune for a wedding, but fitting considering the blue, gold, and red dress Cecil wore as he made his way down the aisle, and danced strangely as he did... Actually, that wasn't really blue, it was more like an iridescent aquamarine, but Carlos wasn't one for nit-picking(yes he was). He felt tears prick at his eyes, and he pursed his lips as Cecil finally looked to him with a smile to die for.
So when Carlos woke up from the dream, he felt betrayed by the false happiness.
