Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas "Outtakes"
Since it’s getting to be Jug Band Christmas season, it’s time to dust off the traditional outtakes from Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas.
I always lose it at, “All she needs is a bottle of ripple!” and “Win a few, lose a few, right, drum?”

Jim Henson: Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas (1977)
A blooper reel with Jerry Nelson (Emmet Otter) and Frank Oz (Ma Otter). Jim Henson had an idea for the drum to roll out of a doorway in a specific way: At first, to hit the metal jug, then spin around on its rim like a coin, and then stop on the ground. The team made it work on the first try without cameras rolling. Eventually, after numerous takes later, they couldn’t get it to happen again, so they settled for the landing without a long spin. Jerry Juhl is the man rolling the drum and Jim Henson can be heard in the background instructing the team. More info about the TV movie here.
I am watching the best Christmas movie ever. Emmet Otter Jugband Christmas. Ma Otter is the best character in this whole movie.
