fic idea that isn’t fleshed out yet: reader is [character’s] favourite doll that they have displayed on the shelf. you come alive one day, and bada bing bada boom— the love of your life is forced to share his space with you, his new roommate who knows waaay too many personal things about him. // bubbly & semi-obsessive reader, forced roommate situation
I guess you can insert Gojo, Geto, Nanami, Armin, Zayne, etc (I might do separate one-shots for certain characters)
you’ve been watching him live his life for years now, sentient and silent and utterly, hopelessly in love with your human. one day, you turn into one of them— a real human! Autumn leaves are falling. He’s clad in a puffy coat, quickly shutting the door to the house, cutting off the gust of wind immediately. He turns around and absentmindedly walks into his bedroom before freezing in his tracks, taking in the sight of you sitting on their bed, dressed in the same exact outfit they’d seen on their precious ol’ doll everyday.
you read his expression instantly, effortlessly (a perk of having observed somebody for the past 1,123 days: every meal, every phone call, every 18 plus moment. it’s all been catalogued perfectly by none other than you!)— surprise, confusion, and a glimmer of both fear and intrigue— you can see those emotions shining in your human’s widened eyes.
“You—” he starts, his mouth hanging open in shock. his eyes dart up to the shelf, and his heart stops: the spot where his doll sat holds nothing but a few particles of dust now.
“Welcome home, my love!” you squeal, hopping off the bed and running towards him. you trip and fall before you can make it more than a meter— he’s across the room in a flash, his mind a storm of chaos as he finds himself kneeling down, checking where your legs hit the floor, asking if you’re okay. why was he helping you? who are you? you can’t possibly be — just where is his precious doll???
“I guess I’m still learning how to use these legs of mine, ohhh they’re so clunky!” you chirp. “but that’s okay, I’ll get the hang of it. and don’t you worry, I’ll also make sure I’m helping out around the house, since we’re going to be real roommates now!” you giggle.
it’s silent for a moment, and he can feel your all-too-human eyes burning a hole into his face. “your expression is one of bewilderment, and you’re noticeably less relaxed,” you note, as you place your hands over his. he stiffens. “but that’s okay. I’ll make sure we take care of everything so you’re A-OK soon again!”
he just looks a bit more frightened.
