I was thinking about those moments where M approaches the detective (at the bar/outside of the station) and when asked about it they just respond along the lines of "N told me to help you" or "N told me to check on you". If I'm not wrong the rest of UB goes to them because they want to (A is in denial oc lmao). I wonder if is it true that N sends them or M does things without much thought on it until they realise what they're doing is something out of caracter, so they use the "N told me to".

I love the idea of M using N as a scapegoat. I don’t feel an ounce of regret making this

For A, soulmate AU where just the date (day/month/year) when they meet their soulmate is on their skin. The date was confusing for them when they were human but now as a vampire makes sense. The date arrives, it is the day where they met the detective at the warehouse. The reason they want to bury their feelings is because in one opportunity while training they saw N's date, it was the same as them.

I was thinking about how M would be deep in romance, It's quite hard trying not making them too ooc. I don't see M as the type who says I love you or being lovey-dovey, but their expressions of physical touch will gain more meaning, not ending necesarily in intimacy:•They will not said I love you but instead hug them from behind and leave a kiss on their neck.•Putting their arm over their shoulders in a crowd place as protectiveness.•Letting them put their head on their chest for comfort.

It is REALLY hard to try and write fics about deep relationship M without dabbling in OOC, I’m sure I’m beyond guilty of it. 

I think I read Sera answer an ask mentioning that M would rarely say the words but would show that they love the detective and I know that physical touch is definitely their love language. To be honest, M doing little things like you mentioned to show their affection has somehow has me weaker than if they were to verbally express it. Especially because the detective would be aware of it, but like outsiders wouldn’t be so when someone is like “Your bf/gf isn’t very affectionate, do they not care about you?” the detective can be like “What do you mean? They literally just tried a bite of (insert food here) because I asked them to.”

That all being said, you will have to pry the idea of M saying it when the detective is about to storm out (like in my Mortality fic for M) out of my cold, dead hands. I simply cannot give it up no matter how hard I try. 😩

If M was born almost 100 years ago, I wonder what type of music they played when they were human, they have a jazz/blues vibe to me.

I support this, but it does make me sad that they can’t enjoy music anymore because of their hyper senses being so strong.

I do have a headcanon, though, since I picked the singing option in the car ride to the carnival in book 2, that if M were to be honest when someone asks what their favorite song is they would answer that it’s whatever the detective was singing that day uwu
