i want to rework my character Maalik and his connection to Lucifer and Lucifer's duality as both light-bringer and night-bringer (technically called Noctifer in that aspect). like i have a concept in mind that a god became jealous of Lucifer and his grandiosity as the morning star Venus, possibly the jealous god in mind will be something like Apollo, god of Mercury, they attacked and injured him, casting him down to the underworld, making him forget about the light. he only knows himself as the darkness and becomes king of the underworld as Maalik (which means "ruler" iirc so he just fucking renames himself), and needs help to remember his full identity. he needs to regain his confidence as well, as the incident has left him devastated and angry. as one would if a jealous fucker knocked ur shit in for no reason.
