Posting this on the side blog because of my fear of being perceived, and I have fewer followers here, lol.
In November last year, I finally found the courage and motivation to start writing my original novel. Since then, I've been working on it very slowly because, you know, [gestures vaguely] ADHD. I already tried getting officially diagnosed and medicated to help with my writing, but the therapist I met only prescribed me anxiety meds, which only made me nauseous, so I had anxiety about my anxiety meds, lol. I didn't like the therapist and don't have the money to find somebody else, so I'm still, well, insane, lol. But I will say that she was 100% correct when she said I was being avoidant, because when her office texted me to ask if I wanted to schedule another session, I... Blocked the number, lmao!
Anyways, back to the original novel thing... Guys (gender-neutral), it's true what they say that all you have to do is start! While I had always known how the novel was going to start and end, I still didn't know how to get to the end when I started writing, but I just pushed through.
However, today, I finally figured a lot of things (about the plot) out. Moreover, I finally reached the 10.000-word mark just now! This is a huge deal to me because, as I mentioned, I'm being very slow, and I have also been sabotaging myself by writing 2 one-shot fics at the same time (I just started a new one yesterday, lol).
Anyways, that's all. I'm writing this, so I will, hopefully, always be motivated. Thank you.
