Matte Grey with Black "Wet-Liner"
---
This is a contrast in textures, with matte lids, satin contours, and a metallic, almost-wet black liner around the eye. I used the metallic black half of ELF Duo Eye Shadow Cream in Black Licorice, and a shimmery black and matte beige from the 88 Warm Palette. (You can find a shimmery grey-black and matte beige from almost anywhere.)
---
Step 1: Apply the black cream shadow first as a base. Then pack a matte beige over the inner half of lids. This will give you a soft matte grey finish.
---
Step 2: Apply a dark grey-black contour shade along the outer corners of eyes, but don't worry over much about excessive definition.
With a liner brush, apply the black shade [Black Licorice, but you can use MAC Blackground] along the upper lash line in a thicker line.
---
Step 3: After putting on your false lashes or mascara, move on to the lips and apply a soft nude-mauve lip balm with a brush for more color. I chose MAC's tinted lip conditioner in Calm Mode (lavender and vanilla, yum).
The alternative if you want a more dramatic look is Lime Crime's Great Pink Planet (top of post).
