THAT WAS IT! He whipped around on the troll that had been incessantly following him nonstop for hours at this point. “What. The. Fuck. Do. You. Want?!” He articulated each word with extra aggression in his tone, through gritted teeth. “Listen to me. I barely fucking know you and you are on thin ice as it is. I don’t understand why you’re following me around like a lost barkbeast, but it needs to stop NOW.” He was livid. He usually tried to avoid people for the most part, but he had made the mistake of engaging with a new troll not too long ago and since then she hadn’t left him alone. Live and learn.

“Fight you?” Anubia would repeat rather confused.

“I never fought a person before! But, I suppose if you would like me to give it a try…!” She’d go on, slipping out a pair of antique, rusted scissors into her hands, spinning them effortlessly until their sharp point was toward his direction.

Well, shit. He actually meant more along the lines of a wrestle. A good hand-to-hand and nothing more. But, if she would rather weapons be used, who is he to complain? His pistols come from his sylladex, landing in his palms. “Why the heck not?”

He takes a step forward. “I’m Jake, by the which way. Can’t think of a better mode of introduction than a good, old-fashion scrum.”

       “Ohhh - you have robes? Damn, I didn’t know this was a classy cult, most of the time I’m just naked!” Thankfully, Polly isn’t naked now, for once in her un-life. Still, she floats over to the refreshments, despite being entirely unable to eat. Or drink. “Nah boo, I’ve been dead for a while, and I don’t show just anyone my crypt - where’s the ritual wine?”

     “... There aren’t, like... Actually demons here though, right? Demons aren’t a real thing, right?” 

     As much as he’s a fan of Ghostbusters and the like, he wasn’t too keen on actually experiencing freaky paranormal things in real life. Watching old reruns of Ghost Adventures was spooky enough for him, thank you very much! He honestly didn’t really believe in demons anyways, but even so, this girl was really creeping him out... He really should’ve gone with his gut and gotten the hell out of there when she first mentioned all this spooky shit...
