I love Moonlight Caress by MacBeth. The song tells about being in love with something much greater than you could ever be.

And I'd say it describes an artist's pain well. You can never do justice to your vision, but you can create something beautiful. Like the song.

Some of my favorite gothic metal bands/songs

I am still new to the genre. I started metal with Nightwish in 2000, and branched out to power metal, melodic death metal, groove metal etc... I found Sirenia (Perils of the Deep Blue) just four years ago.
