maccha iki, ekocheras mall.
came here last week while walking around at the mall, and we saw this green tea dessert store, it was not crowded at all, which is a good thing, cos avoiding crowds is like the most important thing right now when i’m outside.
we ordered the matcha tiramisu and an iki to share. some of the items on their menu was out of stock during our visit, so we just ended up picking these two. the store do have nice tatami setting, which mimics the japanese seating style.
the soft serve ice cream is good, the green tea taste and smell is strong, not sweet at all and i love that the tea taste is very original and it gives the kick. the texture is also smooth and you do get quite a lot in the cone. only dissatisfaction is the cone itself was a little soft, probably from being kept too long or not fully airtight, so it wasn’t fresh and crisp.
the tiramisu was served with a small cup of matcha at the side, to be enjoyed together, and we both really loved this dessert very much. again, the green tea taste is strong, and the dessert is not sweeten, the cheese fragrance is light and goes well with the overall taste. the texture is so soft and it’s just very lightweight and enjoyable overall. i would say this tiramisu do make me wanna visit again.
i’m so glad to find a nice green tea dessert store, the items here are pricey, but the quality is there, and believe me, it’s really hard to find such authentic taste around town, everywhere else just sell sweeten green tea ice cream or desserts which i don’t enjoy at all.
