more on season 6, i saw an instagram reel of zabka and macchio watching the original all valley fight and they were being very old men cute but something that made me chuckle (in deep despair) is that macchio was like « yes this scene [johnny giving daniel the trophy] is a really nice moment that truly sets us off for cobra kai, it’s this moment that propels us in johnny’s head and shows there is more to him » and while i agree wholeheartedly with that last statement the SHOW NEVER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT MOMENT. not once!!!! and i kinda understand that johnny could have grown bitter from his life being shit and seeing daniel’s success kind of eclipses that redemption/recognition moment from his mind but daniel never acknowledges it either like, it’s as if everybody in this timeline believes that johnny did just stay down on that mat like the pilot eludes to when he??? he really didnt!!!! ITS KINDA THE WHOLE POINT
