I like to think that Star Dream woke up Galacta Knight from his crystal nap he’s very angry after his defeat with Meta Knight after their first fight in Super Star Ultra. It literally says in the pause screen that Star Dream used Space and Time to bring Galacta Knight here. Angy Galacta Knight slashed and destroyed Star Dream within seconds.

Colorful bunch! I've actually drawn some of them before, but it was a lot of fun to come back to them! Hm, Captain Vul doesn't exist, actually. /j. I don't have any issues with his character, but his existence meses with my plans for these guys and HAL deleted him anyways lol.

🎉🎂🎈 Happy 33rd Birthday Meta!! 🎉🎂🎈

That’s right, yentlemen, the Great EMatooney has decided to create a Kirby AU! I call it the Ballad of Meta Knight: The Impossible Dream, or BOMK for short! It features Meta Knight, obviously, the Meta-Knights, and some very strange new characters! 👀

I wanna give a huge shoutout to @itsquakey because I was really inspired by the way she shades the characters and I wanted to try my hand out on it too! Hope that’s okay!

Imma be real, I really wasn’t intending to make a Meta Knight AU at all. To be honest, it actually just started out as a joke. Like, you got this big, serious, stoic character all of a sudden giving you the most loving and heartfelt life advice. The kind of softness you wouldn’t expect from a guy like him? That sort of thing. But over time it stopped feeling like just a joke. So, wallah! I made a AU!

This won’t be a comic series but it’ll actually be my first fanfic! I’m really excited and nervous because I haven’t wrote anything on the internet and I hope people will like it. This AU won’t take place in the anime continuity. I’m planning to base it more on the games and light novels, but with my own twists. Though don’t worry — I’ll still sprinkle in bits of the anime here and there. ;)

The biggest thing I want to address, though, is the inspiration behind this AU. There was a creator who went by Celestia-Knight on Deviantart (I’m pretty sure they go by @time-eatingnoodle now?) who wrote some of the most captivating and emotionally charged Kirby fan stories I’ve ever read. Their artwork was breathtaking, and the lore they built was so mysterious. I really really loved their portrayal of Meta Knight.

But they made the decision to stop creating Kirby content. And they erased everything. They erased their art. They stopped working on their stories. Everything just stopped. I’ll never know how their story ended. I’ll never know if Kirby defeated Zero, if Galacta regained his former self, or if Meta Knight ever found peace. But I hope — I sincerely hope — that in some small way, I can carry on their legacy for a while.

Just like Meta, I want these stories to live on. I want to carry pieces of that inspiration with me and weave them into my own work. That’s how deeply their stories resonated with me. And I hope mine will resonate with you, too.

I’m not sure if I should post it on AO3 or fanfiction.net. Any suggestions? Never done this before so I’d appreciate the help! I’ll let you guys know when I add a new chapter.
