- As much as Mach is afraid of physical contact, thanks to the experiments done to her, a part of her also craves it. She wishes to be able to hold you carefully in between her arms without the worry of possibly crushing you. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean she won’t give you the occasional hugs when you ask, she has to be mindful of her own strength.

- With this said, she also wishes to be held by you just as much, yet again…. She adores you too much to let you be harmed.

- She’s very hesitant when it comes to holding your hand, though she finds it cute how small your hands are compared to hers, and when you sit on her lap while she works. You give her warmth like any other.

- Please hold her when you get the chance, especially when the two of you are cuddling. Gods know when was the last time she’s been hugged.

Why must’ve her great-grandfather designed her to be this way? Of course, she knows why. She is a world-ending instrument for reason.

- Mach tends to overshare a lot of her childhood experiences while she was in the empire, a little too much to be exact.

- There are a few funny stories however, only a few.

- Like that one time when her brother crashed through several planets, only to come back with a killer headache and straight up pass out in the floor

- Or when Lora caught the two of them messing around with weapons, trying to playfully fight with one another

- She talks about them very fondly. She likes to think that her siblings would’ve loved you if they were still alive

- She’ll even invite you to visit the grave of her siblings, if you wish to accompany her.

- Sometimes she catches herself doodling your name in between paperwork. She never seems to get you off of her mind, how embarrassing…

- Mach can be a bit shy when you call her any nicknames, like dear and sweetheart. More especially when you refer to her by her first name.

- Nobody really calls her by Carolina, aside from her employees of course.

- Though you swore you saw her freeze for a second, only to quickly cover her face flushed with her hat. It’s one of the rare times you ever see her blush.

- Dates with Mach are out of this world, quite literally speaking! She takes you to several different planets she’s visited in past expeditions, ones that are cover by several types of gorgeous flowers for lovely picnics, and ones that have breathtaking stars for last night stare gazing.

- Or the two of you could simply hang out in her office, enjoying pastries together and dancing to one of her many vinyl records.

- Hell, you could watch people fail 6166 and 7214 together, Carolina does love her challenges.

- As long as Mach is with you, she’s happy regardless.

“That feeling is one I’ve never felt before. I enjoy your company and your nonexistence causes me worry at times.”

“Though you might have figured it out already, my feelings for you are immense. In words that may be hard to say, I love you.”

Hearing those words really made you go silent. Even if your feelings were the same, saying words wasn’t available.

“... Your silence tells me that you are surprised.”

“Oh— Sorry! I do return your feelings!! I was just taken off guard…”

Hearing your words makes my eyebrows raise, and the muscles within my jaw slightly part my lips.

You stare at her, worried you’d put her in a state of shock or something.

“I. Appreciate your reciprocated feelings..” Mach turns her head away when she sees your clueless expression.

I let out a breath, collecting the courage to ask, “Would you.. Like to receive the label as “My partner”?”

You smile at her nervousness, “Ya! Would you like to be my—”

She hugs you, hiding her face away from your view

“Yes. I do.”

It seems she’s too shy to hear the word, “Girlfriend”.

It’s… Awkward between you two.

It doesn’t really seem awkward for Mach, but you’re even more nervous around her presence, as if you two were just strangers!

But you don’t avoid her of course, why would you do that?

Mach enjoys quality time, physical touch isn’t her strong suit— But for you she doesn’t mind♡︎

Most of the quality time you two spend together is you checking out the obbies she creates

If you want to try them, she slightly hesitates but says yes

She watches over you very carefully, making sure to catch you the second after you fall

She’ll never get disappointed at you failing to complete her obbies

At first she doesn’t turn on the fire wall, but if you’re up for a challenge, she turns it on.

She’s smiled at you enjoying her obby many times

If you do complete it, she instantly praises you and talks about your skills

Her favorite times is when you both are watching other players play her obby

Part 1: ... but who can avoid the rain?

They met on a rainy afternoon, she was walking home alone from school, her uniform soaking wet, not an umbrella on sight. Her home was close anyway, a 20 minute walk, she was trying to catch up, run, avoid getting even more rained on, but who can avoid the rain?

She stopped, realizing her endevour was pointless, she just stood still close to a shop trying to wait it out a little, until the rain went away.

Suddenly, a guy came out of the shop, holding a cigarette in his hand, ready to light it before he catched her gaze. His hair was blonde and wet and he was wearing a black leather jacket.

-Want one?- He said.

-I don't smoke, mum says i shouldn't, that i'm too young for it...- She said, her nervousness slipping through her words.

There were boys in her class but she hadn't spoke to any of them apart from some questions on the class and none of the boys in her class looked like this.

-Sure you don't wanna try one? You're young... you should be trying everything... finding out what you like, what you don't like...- He flashed a smile.

-I... No, thank you... I guess... I... Bye...- She said as she started to walk away of the shop and continue her way to her house.

The rain had not eased off at all, in fact, it was pouring even harder, but she kept going. Malachy took a fag, threw the cigar on the floor and went after her.

-Wait! You'll catch a cold!

He reached her, took off his jacket and used it as an umbrella to protect them both, his grey t-shirt sticking to him as some rain drops fell on him.

-Won't you catch a cold? - She said.

-It doesn't matter... -He smiled again.

That was the first time he went home with her, the first of many afternoons she would spend with Mach.

Mach x Reader (HEHEHEHHE)

first off I have very strong opinions on this being a Mach self shipper so this is self indulgent

- So first off, Mach gets misscharacterized far too much, she’s serious sure but she’s also got a silly caring side!!

- When you first get together she remains pretty stoic, wanting to take things slow, though with her perception of time being warped beyond recognition how slow it really is really depends

- She’s fine with basic PDA but she doesn’t want anything extreme, holding hands, kiss on the cheek when others are around is about as much as she wants

- However in private Mach can be very touchy, as long as you’re ok with it, she doesn’t like being touched but she’s also touch starved and your touch feels different, a good different

- Hugging, cuddling, snuggling, kisses all over, she loved being close to you, though she is afraid of hurting you due to how strong she is, also with her height she’s completely fine being big spoon but every one in a while she does wanna feel small and be held

- Her love language is probably quality time, she doesn’t mind what yours is but to her just doing things with you, or just being in the same room doing different things but together feels so soft and sweet to her

- Not big on pet names, maybe one or two either basic or one specific one she gives to you, and on her she’s fine with them but does think just hearing you say her name is more romantic, speaking of her name she doesn’t mind if you call her Mach or if you call her Carolina but sometimes she does prefer Carolina as it’s a more reserved and personal name

- Mach gives you such interesting and peculiar gifts, flowers you’ve never heard of, an artifact that gives you maybe good luck or keeps you safe, she gives you things ‘as unique as you’ in her words

- She doesn’t need to sleep as much as you, so she’s fine working on things in a chair by your bed, every few nights she may join you, even if she doesn’t actually sleep, just holds you closely but carefully

- Honestly Mach is not a great cook, if you can cook however she eats whatever it is, you being able to cook would be so endearing to her, again she doesn’t need to eat as much as you but that isn’t to say she can’t eat, if you want her to eat a meal with you, she will

- Danger? Don’t know em! She will never let anything hurt you, she’s very cautious, and a little too protective some times, she’s worried to let you board the elevator because you could get hurt, same with running any of the courses, but she trusts you even if she’s anxious, if you do get hurt she goes full mother hen, your a mortal she sometimes forgets how much an injury would truly affect you, so a simple scrape can make her panic

- On that note Mach’s protective of who goes around you, MR is anywhere near you she teleports you away before destroying him. Then certain floors she’s very cautious of due to their inhabitants such as Shop Space as Enphoso can be violent, or Funny Maze as Scary Mike hurts people who enter his residence

- Takes you on whatever date you want, you wanna see a pretty planet? You were on course yesterday. Nice dinner out? Reservations been there for weeks. Go to the beach? She’s found you two a secluded spot no one else will bother you and a swimsuit that fits you perfectly in a matter of seconds.

- Please put your body weight on her, it helps ground her and makes her feel close to you, and she doesn’t have to worry about hurting you if you’re the one on her

- Due to all the shit Mach’s been through sometimes she needs your help to return to reality or just needs to cry in your arms, she misses her siblings a lot and is still terrified of her great grandfather so she needs comfort sometimes

- It's always so strange, having basically a demigod as your roomate. Many people think that she'd act all high and mighty, considering her power, right?

-Surprisingly, not really. Mach has always been down to earth ever since you met her in rock park that one night.

-It was NOT a fun time. You'd woken up, laying down in front of a bench, head pounding with a headache. Your thoughts themselves were fuzzy, and all you could hear was this eerie music playing

-It felt like a nightmare. Something out of the dreamcore videos you used to watch at 3 AM. It all felt WAAYYY too real to just be a dream. But after pinching yourself, it finally kicked in that this WAS not a dream.

-You couldn't really tell how long you were there. In front of that bench, you kept falling back into a hazy half-sleep.

-At some point, something poked your curled up form. It was a woman, with bright red eyes, dressed head to toe in purple. You could only see bits of her hair peeking out from the massive top hat on her head.

-It was strange, really. You wondered if she was the mad hatter in your hell of a nightmare. Perhaps she wanted to take you to have some tea.

-Apparently, you had spoken the thought out loud, since her eyebrows furrowed and she herself mumbled about picking up drunk strangers off the side of the street.

-As you regained deliberate conciousness, you quickly explained that you were not in fact drunk, and instead didn't know where you were.

-Mach thought you were batshit crazy. Everyone who had been on the elevator had at least HEARD of Rock Park.

-Soon, as you explained more of your situation, she realized that you didn't KNOW about the elevator, or about much of this world, really. It stuck her as bizarre.

-Some kindness in her heart urged her to help you in whatever way she could. Now, after her sister passed, Mach didn't really like getting too close to people. She'd never admit it, but it scared her. Way deep down, she was waiting for the next person she cared about to die.

-But she figured it wouldn't harm her to at least offer you a place to stay.

-So, she walked you to the elevator, offering to help keep you steady on your shaky legs. You almost fell over multiple times just standing in the Regretevator.

-When you both arrived at what you would soon recognize as HALL OF, all of your senses were completely bombarded with the strong scent of gasoline and something burning, the bright orangish hue that was entirely too much, and above all, the scorching heat. You had began to sweat just standing there.

-You saw the obstacle course in front of you. The long platforms, the rings of plasma. You felt like vomiting. There was no way you were going to make it. For a moment you wondered if this was where you were going to die, at the hands of some malicious stranger with a top hat.

-Honestly, that was a pretty badass way to die.

-But as the incinerator snapped into place behind the entrance, you were flung onto Mach's shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

-The next minute was the most magical (and terrifying) thing your overheated brain believed you had ever seen. The ground rushed beneath you in a sort of hypnotic manner as Mach made a quick dash to some platform you couldn't see, all while carrying you about as gently as one could while being chased by a wall of fire.

-You don't really remember a lot of what happened after the obstacle course. From what you could best recall, Mach carried you up into the flat, and made a bed for you out of the couch.

-You promptly fell asleep for about 18 hours.

-After the whole incident, Mach began to explain the reality-bending elevator to you, offering a theory that the elevator must have wanted something to do with you. What it could have been was anyone's guess.

-You didn't know how long you were going to be stuck here, but Mach claimed she was willing to let you stay as long as you desired. Something about needed company was also mentioned, but you threw it aside as a formality.

-At first, Mach kept this stoic face that made you want to hide whenever she looked your direction. After a while, though, you found out that she just had a chronic case of Resting Bitch Face, and wasn't as intimidating as she let on.

-One day you noticed that it always smelled like straight fire and gasoline in the flat, and it was starting to get to you. So, you went to find something that would make any fire at least a bit more bearable: an overpriced scented candle.

-After spending about three hours in the store, you found a candle that you hoped both of you could agree on. Scented nutmeg and vanilla, it was sweet and nutty, but not overwhelming so.

-You put it in a bag, and offered it to Mach one day as a sort of thank you gift, in addition to serving its purpose. You also packed her a KatKot bar. They always had strange flavors, so you hoped that maybe it would make her laugh at the sheer absurdity of a lemonade flavored chocolate.

-Mach stared at the bag in your hands as you sidled up to her. As you handed her the package, she looked dumbfounded. The concept was odd to her. She recalled being of a young age the last time she recieved a gift. It was from her sister, a type of candy that the both of them liked.

-Mach gently pulled the candle and weird sweets out of the bag. At first, she didn't respond, so you began to ramble apologies and about how the receipt was still in the bag and-

-She burst out laughing. It was a glorious sound, something you never expected to come from the stoic woman's vocal cords.

-As the laughter stopped its echoes through the flat, Mach looked into your eyes, a rare smile etched onto her features. Few words were spoken; many more were implied. Most of all, you understood she enjoyed the gift.

-After you had gone to bed, Mach lit the candle alone in her room. The gentle scent reminded her of things that had passed. Of things she missed, and of things she had not thought of in far too long. She cried.
