Right, turns out whoever registered the Necrons (that we are on good terms with) present on Eldritch screwed up, was told by Khames-17 that it was a Deathmark, and then never considered that it could be anything else.
Macha pointed out that Khames-17 didn’t look right for a Deathmark Necron, and looked more like a Cryptek. I asked about and it would seem that Khames is just a sneaky little rat. Machine. Thing. Look, the metaphor is falling apart.
I should probably have realised that it wasn’t just a normal sniper when it started doing all that tinkering.
Anyway, turns out there is not a strange lack of high ranking Necrons, it’s just that their cryptek is a little sneaky barstard. And that someone screwed up.
YOU GOTTA LIKE YOUR OWN POST BECAUSE YOU GOTTA BE THERE FOR YOURSELF!!! IF YOU DONT HAVE YOUR OWN BACK WHO THE FUCK DOES???? DAMN RIGHT YOU LIKE YOUR POST YOU WERE THE ONE WHO MADE IT!!!!!! BE PROUD OF YOUR CONTRIBUTION!!!!!
Okay, so…wait, kark,
Salutations space people,
Alright. We got Macha back. She was staying out a little bit longer than the rest of the search team to find the Knight, and we received a Vox transmission that she had broken her wing. There was a snowstorm blanketing everything. The entire plan of her-being-put-longer-than-everyone-else revolved around her being able to fly back whenever.
The Devilfish crew rushed out to her last known coordinates to get her back before she died of exposure.
When they arrived, they found the bodies of three of the Dark Angels partially buried in the snow. The bodies were missing their skin, but their missing flesh was quickly found. On Macha. That Night Lord had fought off all three space marines, killed them, and hid in a small hollow beneath some tree roots with a blanket made from their skin.
When they found her, I heard over the radio her repeating, “I’m not gonna die to some snow. I lived through worse. I’m not gonna die to cold rain.”
She was seething at the idea of being done in being done in by a trio of morons with swords and some bad weather, (which, I’ll remind you, was a BLIZZARD!!)
She got brought back in the Devilfish and I saw her as she was being brought to the medbay. Let me tell you, that lass was shivering so hard, she looked like an unfocused pictograph. She’s doing better now though, and Yareli (Our Drukhari medic. I don’t believe I’ve mentioned her name yet, actually.) is never more than a few feet away.
Praise the T’au’va, the God Emperor, whatever, we didn’t kill our guest.
OH! RIGHT! I DIDNT TELL YOU HOW SHE BROKE HER WING!
She saw the knight! She said she was tracking it, flitting from tree to tree, when it saw her and fired a round at her. It hit the tree beside her, but the shrapnel from the blast is what busted her wing. She said she fell to the ground, but the Knight left her alone and continued on its way, leaving some of the Dark Knights following it to finish her off.
She also was able to tell the bosses which direction it was travelling in, and so they’re deliberating on wha to do.
Macha for the win, yall.
i am nice ..
this is a threat
The Irritators found something. As did Macha and my drones.
There is enormous swathes of forest that have been knocked down by… Something. Macha sighted it from the air when she volunteered to go on a patrol. The Irritators investigated and found huge footprints in the debris.
A team was just sent out in the Devilfish to get scans of the footprints to try to identify what it’s from.
