After seeing some feminist and LGBT+ works (mostly superhero stuff or writers who used to work on superheros) that unintentionally promote toxic masculinity ideals, I wonder if a rebuttal work is possible
I’m brought to mind the old horror story Medea de Carpi, the ghost of a woman who has the heart of a conqueror and ruler who is killed after seizing power by those who refuse to bow to a woman, and as a ghost kills any man who falls in love with her and seeks to tame her.
Just because there are unfair double standards, doesn’t mean the victim of hypocrisy is right. It may mean those in power are wrong to be praised for it, and should be demonized as well.
