Nautical Leisure with 760

760 and 107, along with the rest of the SERVE Hive, had been granted a period of leisure as the first month of a new annual cycle began to wind down. 107, having analyzed its fellow drone’s record, and finding that 760’s service log began with its conversion while aboard a pirate vessel, determined that a brief cruise with the ON-TRIAL drone would make for an optimal outing.

“Drink up,” said 107, clinking its glass with its fellow drone, before downing the container of black nanodrone-laden fluid; nothing in the world tasted as good as a rubber drone’s secretions. 760 followed suit, and was led by its senior drone down to the ship’s pool.

“Status report, 760,” stated 107, lounging in an inner tube on the ship’s deck. “Has 760’s new life post-assimilation proven to be optimal?”

“Affirmative,” 760 replied, caressing 107’s boots as it floated in the pool. It had been drawn to SERVE to provide structure to its host’s life; now, all that 760 could imagine was leaning forward, just to get a taste of the reflective silver gleaming directly into its eyes.

Sensing this, 107 devised a new course of action, to demonstrate the benefits of hierarchy within the Hive. “760, follow,” 107 said, smoothly dismounting the inner tube, and emerging from the pool, reclining at a poolside chair. “Prepare to be seated, 760. Allow our fellow drones to treat you, as they have been programmed to provide us with any pleasure desired by drones on this vessel.”

“Acknowledged, 107,” 760 replied, watching as two SEALED drones emerged from the sides of the deck, polishing cloths in hand as they moved to treat their superior drones’ silver boots. 107 smiled, the synchronized thoughts of 760 blooming in its process-driven mind: “This drone could get used to this…”

day 458: a rough draft for a mother nature type character. instead of doing a character with a very loud and expressive personality, which is very common in personifications of nature, i thought it be interesting to do a more reserved character. or at least one that is calm a lot of the time but can transform into a more scary version of nature when they're angry, which i'll try designing soon.

After the morning's kinetic tests, I find myself returning to the architecture of my garden.

Imagine getting home from work feeling tired, stressed, and worn out. It was a long day. Your partner doesn’t even ask what’s wrong. Just tells you to sit on the couch to relax and begins to massage you. It helps loosen and relax your body, but they can tell by your face that your mind needs a massage too. So they whisper in your ear and whisper something you don’t even consciously recognize, but the next thing they see is your body go loose and limp, especially all of the stressed and tired muscles around your face. Your mind is now free and floaty in trance, with a trigger you didn’t even know you had installed. And maybe tonight your partner will just help you relax and get away from everything, just allowing you to enjoy the mindless relaxation of hypnosis, or maybe they’ll program you even more. It really doesn’t matter, because when you wake up you’ll be completely relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated, desperate for them to repeat that sweet whispered word you can’t remember
