June 12, 2014/June 12, 845: One Weird Day
I opened my eyes and immediately don’t recognize my surroundings. I was in a forest and stood up. “Where am I?” I asked myself. I grabbed my backpack and started walking towards the edge of the forest. I heard the sound of hoofs galloping towards my left. It got louder and closer to me. The horse stopped right in front of me and I tripped backwards and fell on my butt. “Ow...” “Hey, are you okay?” I looked up at the person and it was female. She had brunette hair up in a ponytail, goggles for glasses, and wearing a uniform I didn’t recognize. “Yeah I’m okay. Also aren’t you burning up in that?” I asked her. “What do you mean? I’m perfectly okay.” She said. She eyed my outfit and raised an eyebrow but she shrugged it off. “Come with me. It’s not safe out here with titans running around. I’m Hanji.” “Mackenzie Yeager.” Hanji helped me get on her horse and we rode towards her friends. I think. A tall male with blonde hair that was incredibly neat and he had some bushy eyebrows. “You found a civilian out here?” He asked. “Yes sir. She was wandering the forest edge when I found her. Mackenzie Yeager is her name.” Hanji said. “And I want to know what’s going on, if you don’t mind explaining.” I said. He was about to say something but he saw my legs and blushed pink. I raised an eyebrow at him. “What?” I asked. He cleared his throat and looked at me. “Miss Yeager, allow me to introduce myself. I am Commander Erwin Smith and don’t worry, you’re safe.” He said. “I’ll call you Commander Eyebrows.” I said. Hanji giggled at my nickname for Erwin. “I like her!” “Very amusing-.” Erwin said. A female scream interrupted our chat and I immediately recognized it. “Annabelle!” I yelled and jumped off the horse to the ground and ran. “MISS YEAGER! COME BACK!” I ignored Erwin and kept running faster. I bit my hand and transformed into my titan form. I hightailed towards my best friend and saw her in a giant’s hand. I roared at it, snatched her from it and killed the giant. “Thanks Mackenzie.” Annabelle said. I nodded and felt something sliced my leg and I fell to my knee. Annabelle gasped in horror and shouted; “Leave her alone! She’s done nothing wrong!”. Whatever or whoever it was, was lightning fast. It sliced up my thigh and I fell to the ground with my best friend in my hand. I busted open the nape and emerged with steam around me. I freed my hands and detached from my titan. A blade was an inch from slitting my throat. “No! Wait! Please don’t kill me!” I said as I looked up. “What the hell?” The male said. He had raven hair, steel gray eyes, and....seriously handsome. I blushed red and blinked a couple of times. “Tch, you better explain yourself, kid.” His voice was like heaven to my ears. “Captain Levi! We got the girl!” A different female voice said. ‘So Levi is his name...’ I thought. Levi grabbed my arm and we went to his teammates. “Okay, you better tell us what’s going on! Who are you people?!” My bff said. She wasn’t the only one with questions. “We’re the Scout Regiment.” The red head woman said. “Who?” Annabelle and I said in unison. “MACKENZIE!!!!! HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!?!” I heard Hanji as she ran towards us. She stopped to catch her breath and noticed Annabelle. “One question: What are you two wearing? I’ve never seen clothes like those before.” Hanji pointed out our clothes and adjusted her glasses. I glanced at Levi and he was staring at my legs with widened eyes. “What’s wrong with the way we look?” Annabelle asked and we noticed the other men were staring as well. “Tch, you two need proper clothes when we get back to HQ.” Levi said. “Oi what you talking about, Willis? THESE are our clothes! And you’re one to talk! You have, what is that, an ascot, a scarf, around your neck! People still wear those?” I retorted and Levi was jaw dropped. That earned a big hardy laugh from Hanji. “Boi, you just got roasted!” My best friend said. “By someone shorter than you! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” Hanji said. Levi was actually a bit taller than me by 5 inches. Not fair. “You can turn into a titan? Might want to explain yourself, Miss Yeager.” I turned and saw Erwin on his horse, looking down at me and Annabelle. “Lay off her, man. She saved me from that thing! She doesn’t need to-“ “Annabelle, it’s okay. I can handle this.” I stopped her before she could make a scene. After that, I got thrown in jail!
