Dear Marvel: I’ve been hearing rumours about Bucky and Sharon being a thing in Falcon & Winter Soldier.

Please.....  n o

Not only is it completely unnecessary to have a forced “romance” when all we wanted was a cool MackStan buddycop show, but it’s:

a) super awkward. Sharon had a thing with Bucky’s best friend Steve (he watched them kiss for goodness sake) before Steve knew that Sharon was actually his true love’s niece......technically HIS OWN niece after he marries Peggy in the alternate timeline. Bucky having a thing with Steve’s niece is weird.

b) unfair to Sharon. We were introduced to her as Steve’s love interest later revealed to be Peggy’s niece. Let her just be her own character now, she doesn’t have to have a thing with anybody to be in this show.

c) again, unnecessary. Bucky is probably still grappling with his best friend suddenly having lived another whole life without him and is now old and ready to die; is it really appropriate to introduce romance into his life already?? And if you must, come up with a NEW character to be his love interest (preferably a red-haired lady with a vintage obsession)! just a thought
