For today’s #SockSunday I thought I would do one with a book that I feel is very under appreciated. Nemesis by Anna Banks was my second favourite book of 2016. ------------------------------------------------- Nemesis is about Princess Sepora who is the last Forger and can forge spectorium. Her father has learned how to weapon use spectorium and wants to use Sepora to conquer all the other kingdoms. So see decides to flee to the kingdom of Theoria where she is captured and forced to serve Tarik who has just become the Falcon King. Her Forging powers could save Tarik and his kingdom, but does Sepora trust her growing feelings and risk exposure? ------------------------------------------------- There are so many things I loved about this book. The Egyptian influence, the steamy romance, the magical world building, and the beautiful cover. I will go into more detail in my review, which I will include a link to as soon as I post it. Ally, the second book in the series comes out October 3, 2017. I absolutely cannot wait to read to read it! I must admit though I am slightly disappointed with the cover for Ally. I thought we were going to get a look at the Falcon King! But it is a gorgeous cover anyways so I will forgive the publishers. So I drew this in 2013 and gave it to Marissa Meyer when I kind of maybe stalked her the one day I was at SDCC the same day as her. This said, Cress was not released and I should probably redraw.
