It's 5am Wednesday morning got a bit of insomnia so hopefully I can fall asleep during this post, so advanced warning to spelling and grammatical errors for you insanely critical pals (and uncle) of mine. I won't mention any names. So let me tell you about my Tues day made it a late start I awoke about 10ish had a chat with the cuz arranging the evening plans while she was at work, chilled in bed until bruv called to alert my laziness although I am on holiday so it's allowed! (Hater) Got up and out of bed about 11:30 started to get ready awoke Ara and planned to leave at 12:30 to head to the city. This had all been arranged the previous evening. We left and made our way to the train station my first train experience on the east sideeeee. So their trains are double Deckers similar to Paris and majority air conditioned all very clean like the stations are never used. We got to the desk bought are tickets and were on our way, we'd picked up a Sydney guide when we landed in the airport so we use this as our bible they had in their a writers walk tour guide so we decided to follow. We headed to circular quay, stepped out and already a new buzz we saw our first aborigine they are quite frightening looking to be honest and we had already been prewarned they will ask for a dollar and a cigarette. Jus keep walking and say you don't have it. They feel no way to fight anyone at anytime. Mmm not the greatest feeling. But anyway we survived walking past, I'm yet to have my Sydney beef. So we began our walk which started with a great view over the water to the Sydney harbour bridge onto and around the Sydney opera house. Which I must say isn't all that spectacular in colour but the shapes AMAZING. Can't wait to go back in the evening. We walked all around it and onto the botanical gardens where I embarked upon some great tree trunks -_- and plants lol this I must admit was the most boring but my grandad would be proud of green finger knowledge now. But all jokes aside the trees we saw and the patterns you can find within bark is quite something, I think if I was to taken on pattern making I'd begin with bark etching. #justsaying Through the long long botanical garden we went, we could have jumped on the choo choo train which would have taken us on a ride through the gardens rather than the walk but of course Ara wanted to walk. I came across two birds mating, this was hilarious as birds here aren't phased by how close you get to them so as we walked along the path came across this bird going hysterical with its chirping we stared for awhile until suddenly the other jumped on top of it a quick spray and fluff of feathers and off it came. Now I knew it was quick but I didn't think that quick all that screaming and fussing for a 2 sec leap of joy, not worth it if you ask me. But yea that was my David Attenborough moment :) proud! After the botanical gardens we walked on and across to Mrs Macquaries point my fav part so far, came across some great Chinese tourists who of course give you the best entertainment. We have found they enjoy pointing and using alot of hand gestures in their photography it's great to watch, Ara stole my phone and took some snaps of them which ill upload for you to see. Quite funny. We posed under some sandy rocks then headed towards the water, I being the smart of the two went by the rocks took my photos and headed back up to land Ara on the other hand decided it would be a great idea to jump the rocks from one side to the other informing me he'd meet me on the side SURE! So as I head to land he continues his rock jumping journey and I don't think the timing could have been any better if we planned it as I decided to take some snaps of his acrobats I caught him slip off one and head straight into the water knee deep... Hahahahha brilliant made.my.day it seems he's had quite a thing for water so far on this trip. I wish I had my laptop to upload my camera pics as they are some great photos but I'll save it for my return. Anyway once getting over his swim we continued the journey to find Mrs Macquaries chair which we found and wasn't a chair more like a bench but formed by rocks I wasn't too amazed hence no photo, the guide misguided us by informing us it gives the best view of Sydney erm not really as there's a fat off tree planted right infront so not really. After this the walk continued were a good 90mins in already imagine my feet right now -_- not impressed. We came across the Art Gallery where we took a pit stop for a drink and a good chat, had quite the heart to heart from one cousin to another, everyone was amazed by our accents and we put them on quite a bit to sound like the queen as everyone thinks if you're British you obvs know the queen!!! Once we finished our chinwag we took some snaps and bounced. We didnt go in as Ara wasn't on it (deep) but ican always return another day. We followed the map to find new Hyde park yes you'll find that alot of places are named after places in London I.e King's cross and Oxford street you could never say they're obsessed could you. Through new hyde park we came across a fountain of statues which we tried to work out thinking they were the astrology signs but no more like Greek gods I think, can't remember. There was also a man blowing humongous bubbles for the kids which was cute too. We walked on through the park to finally reach the point of this whole walk ... Anzac War Memorial now this has some link to the Armenian Genocide but I couldn't quite get the gist of the history lesson so ill pass on relaying that to you now. Maybe at a later stage. It was beautiful the though, the ceiling was covered in gold stars one for each of the 121,000 fallen soldiers it was beautiful such a shame my camera doesn't quite catch the beauty of it. From here on it was now 4:30 and I was meeting Vanessa at 5 so we had no time for the Australian Museum as things here close pretty early like 5/5.30 the latest. So instead we headed back to the apt. This evening we went to Vanessa's mum and dads for dinner which was really nice they did a 'barbe' as the Aussies call it. Their house was beautiful huge huge windows high ceiling large spaces. I think that's one thing with London we don't get space here they buy land and build their own homes I WANNA DO THIS Oh and they all have pools imagine the tan I'd have with one of those in the garden jeez! It was great to be with family 6 of us cousins all in one room alongside 3 generations. Bareeee love. I have a great video of Vanessa's gran and her two sisters dancing. I cried with laughter. I even got a doggy bag of cake to take home it was so yum hazelnut cake WOW I've got to try making this! It's a Swiss cake called ginolé or something again can't remember my short term memory is slacking. I'm sure ill remember in a weeks time. We got a lift home from Chris my cousin to be (Vanessa's fiancée) bloody hell I was gripping to my chair so bad at the back. He's a formula one racer so imagine the driving -__- I would have loved the added walk to my day of walking. Heart failure was on overload. But guess what I'm here typing this so I made it throughhhh yes i made it throughhhh. Boom that was my Tuesday/night Here come the pics and ill see you y'all tomorrow. P.s I might inherit the aus accent in my month here it's quite contagious to take the mick but yet pick it up. Soz I will hate me too. Ciao for now xoxo
