Polarity Quilt Class: I have some exciting news to share - I will be teaching my Polarity quilt pattern at my local quilt shop, Mad About Patchwork this winter!
The class will be broken down into two sessions, on Saturday, February 13 and Saturday, February 27. We will cover topics including colour contrast, fabric selection, cutting with the pattern templates and of course curved piecing! We will go over different methods of sewing curves so that you can find the one that works best for you. If you make the lap-sized version, you should be able to finish most of the quilt top in class.
Although it will be my first time formally teaching a quilt making class, I do have experience in teaching (in fact... a whole Bachelor’s degree in eduction that I haven’t been putting to use professionally!) and I’ve successfully taught quite a few of my friends to sew over the last few years. I’m really excited about the opportunity.
If you live locally, you can check out Mad About Patchwork’s studio site for more information and registration. I would love to see you there!
For more on the pattern, you can see my previous posts about the original quilt, the colour version, and the ones made by my amazing pattern testers!
