“ you are young. life has been kind to you. you will learn. ”

“I am older than I look, but thank you for the compliment.” her tone is almost as sharp as her smile is. It was common for people to mistake her for being far younger than she was, even if she was not what she was. Being smaller than most elves, wiry framed brought many advantage to the table. Having to deal with demeaning behaviour coming from shem’len was not one of those advantages. She follows the human closely with her black eyes, raised from her notebook. She had heard her speak and about her ideas of how the mages should be treated and taught ( and how dangerous they could be if not trained, with that she would agree, but with someone that seemed to be so ready to align themselves with a corrupt chantry? ). Were blood mages to also be put to the torch even when they knew how to control themselves? Were blood mages to be killed simply because of what they were?
Did she want answers to those questions coming from a mage that did not know what it meant to struggle with it? The priestess closes her notebook, coal drawings of a qunari child hidden behind the leather covers slowly as her attention turns to the other. She was not sure what she thought she knew, but the priestess would not use the word ‘kind’ when describing how life had been treating her.
“You seem to know an awful lot more than I do about myself, then.” her tone is dry, her brow raising and the short nails tapping on the worn leather notebook. Her heavy tevene accent taints her words, making her ears twitch under the heavy braids. She hated it, if she could she would not speak common at all but the Children of this age had all but forgotten about the People’s language. Her eyes stay focused on the other for a couple of seconds in silence, lips twisting for a single second before returning to the neutral expression. Her fingers open the book again to the page that she was and her dark eyes go down again, continuing the drawing. She could hardly care less about what a shem thought about how her life had been until that point.
