“Ah, excuse me, miss!” Tatara approached the stranger with a friendly smile, waving with his free hand. Whereas his other would usually hold a camera, Tatara cradled a bundle of fluff. A cat, small enough for him to hold in one hand, snoozed happily in his hold. He’d arrived much earlier onto the campus to help photograph the school (an odd job to help scrounge some extra money), and had caught sight of the animal on his way out. It wasn’t in his nature to abandon such a small creature, and thus his camera had been neatly stowed away in his bag to allow room to carry the cat.
“I’m sorry to bother you, but, are you a student here?” he asked, “Do you know of any other cats on campus, one that could potentially have a litter?”
