Making and Marketing Creative Internship (paid)

• 12 month paid position (salary is age dependant, based on the living wage) • Redruth, Cornwall • 4 days a week • Closing date 4 May 2017

Us Bookshell is a small creative business producing hand-crafted leather-bound phone cases, journals, notebooks and other personalised gifts.

You We’re looking for an individual bursting with enthusiasm, a discerning eye for detail, and willingness to learn a variety of skills to become a key player in the day to day running of our busy studio. The applicant must have a natural ability for making, as well as ideally having an art and design or ‘making’ background, and an interest in digital marketing.

The role You’ll learn the digital marketing and hand crafted gift market from the ground up and gain a strong understanding of how skilled craftsmanship, art direction, design and photography are all key parts of a thriving handmade online gift business. Following a successful 12 month training period, we hope to offer a permanent position. Prior experience in book binding and/or digital marketing would be a huge advantage, however not essential. We require someone who will commit to the learning process and wants to stay with the company - we do not hire short-term interns!
