This will be my 7th year of joining the #100dayproject and I’m excited to begin. It’s a marathon for sure, but every year I’ve adapted how I work it into my days so it’s still fun. 100 days don’t have to be consecutive. In 2017 I did 100 days over the space of 6 months. You don’t have to finish to have participated. In 2018 I set myself way to ambitious a project and quit after a few weeks. I’ve still got the pieces I made, I love them, and all I learned from making them. In 2019 I scaled it back and posted what I’d been doing in my everyday art making for 100 days. In 2020 I made a junk journal before I began, each day I added a bit to a new page, but it wasn’t a blank page, so whether I had much time or not, every day I had something to share. In 2021 I was also taking an online class where we were building a body of work, so I used these as the pieces for my 100 days. In 2022 I made a concertina sketchbook full of paint, mixed media and collage. I recorded and shared the process over the course of 100 days. In 2023 I’m celebrating a theme I come back to over again and again in my art and in my thinking.
