Today I used Sharpie water based paint pens, Ohuhu alcohol markers, a bit of Distress Ink, and the sewing machine.

80s Rockstar Hangout & Bobby TH Wildcat Hair by iCad

iCad made these items for Julie J for Garden of Shadows’ Blind Date 2018. The hangout set includes retextures of the Nightlife sectional sofa as well as some other decor items. The hair edit is perfect for your sims who play in ‘80s hair metal bands.

Let’s begin the year off right with an extra large follower’s gift! When I first planned my vintage colors (1) I wanted them to work for both upper-class and lower-class clothing types. But, as with everything I do, I decided that (a) wasn’t enough variety, and (b) I’d already been thinking for quite a while about how to revamp an older palette I’d briefly messed around with: the Dusty colors. So the end result is TWO totally revamped color palettes!

For the Vintage Colors 2 Palette:

Lama 2 is part of Lama’s medieval wood colors. Flashpowder, Fulminant, and Time Bomb are of course by the talented Pooklet. Walnut is a base game wood color. Madeira is from iCad’s Wood colors. Grape and Ruby are from Poppet’s Memories color palette.Ocean and Foxglove are from Curious B’s Any Color You Like palette; Leaf Green is adapted from Spring Leaf. Tourmaline and Saffron are from Aelia’s Jewel colors. Olive is from Aelia’s Autumn colors. Paprika is from HafiseAzale’s Skunky color palette. Damask is from Michelle’s Vintage colors. Light Pink and Blue are lighter variations of Baby Pink and Blue from Aelia’s Retro colors. Luxury and Fawn are my own creation.

As for the Dusty Colors:

Sandy, Custardy, and Lavendery are variations on Sand, Custard, and Gypsy Rose from Curious B’s Any Color You Like palette and Milk is also from that palette, borrowed without any changes. Flossy and Cloudy are variations of Candy Floss and Duck Egg from Poppet’s Memories palette. Tomato-y is my creation. ;>.< As you can see, there’s three variations for each color: light, medium, and dark; that’s how they are labeled and bundled if you choose the fewer files versions.

BUT!!!! I decided that you all needed an extra special gift after such a long hard year, so these color palettes come pre-loaded with clothes for you to enjoy!

As always, just pick ONE option of clothing per age/gender based on the needs of your game. Preview pix, applicable meshes, and swatches are included with all downloads. Much praise to the original creators and converters of all the meshes I have recolored!!!

Autonomous Massage Table Business

This is a small mod that was requested on modthesims. It’s a combo of  Simler90′s Massage Business Mod with iCad’s fix for autonomous use. It adds iCad’s settings for asking and giving, but keeps Simler90′s setting for the purchase option. I don’t use either of those mods in my own game, myself, so if you find the massage table is too attractive for sims or not attractive enough, post here, and I’ll adjust it.

It’s a feature, that came with Bon Voyage. If you place a beach lot, your sims will be able to swim in the sea. You can also edit “normal” lots with simlogical’s beach portals. It’s a little fiddly, but might be worth it, when you want your sims to swim in the sea, but don’t want the beach (where you can’t build stuff (unless you use cheats), sims search for seashells, sunbath, build sandcastles etc.)

On that note I also want to point out this tutorial by iCad and this one by Vimpse. You will need Lotadjuster. Beach-lots are on the bigger side, but most simmers prefer small and/or flat lots. Both tutorials work (have tried it myself. Not in Twinhills, but in a tester-hood) and you’ll get similar results. I think there are also smaller beach lots available for download, but I prefer to build everything from scratch.

None of that works, if you don’t have Bon Voyage though :/ Hope this helps!
