amazingpanemmemories, A new review has been posted to your story. Story: The Endless In-Between Chapter: 1. Chapter 1 From: Guest ------------------- :I really do like this story, and think it has a thrilling and awesome plot, but i'm going to have to give up on it. This is simply because it is never updated it's been st least 2 months since your last update, and that would be justifiable if there was only 1 person working on it, but since there is 3, it's hard to imagine 4k words taking that long to write and edit. I guess this is goodbye! -------------------- I have a few things to say to this and I really hope soamazinghere and madefrommemoriesff don't mind. Dear Self-Entitled Anon, Normally, stuff like this rolls off my back but you've really struck a nerve on this comment. And since you decided to write it as an anon, I feel like this is the only way to respond. First, I'd like to say, goodbye. You have every right to not want to stick with a story that you don't feel gets updated in a timely manner. But, in all honesty, what you should have done was just walk away before leaving a snarky little message to intentionally hurt (or teach a lesson to, I guess) my fellow co-authors and me. There was absolutely no need for you to take it upon yourself to do this. Second, you seem to have the idea that 4,000 words can just be written in no time at all. Well, to that I have to say a) our chapters are NEVER only 4,000 words long. We keep a fairly strict policy of having a 5 - 7K word minimum. And that takes a lot of time and effort. b) after being written, our chapters go through an extensive review period. We go through peer review, beta, and pre-reader editing stages before a single word is published. c) we do this, for fun, in our spare time. The three of us have talked about our rate of publishing, and while of course we would like to get chapters out quicker, the three of us realize that we all have lives outside of fanfiction and we have to take care of real life first. We are all committed to seeing this story to the end, no matter how long it takes. We like working with each other and we all believe in the work we have put out so far. I'm really sorry for your lack of patience, because I really think the best is yet to come. Third, the lack of update for the current chapter rests solely on my shoulders. I am up next and not that I really should have to justify my lack of production, let me just go ahead and inform you why the next chapter hasn't been produced as quickly as you'd like. During these two months my grandfather passed away, my mother, who has been living with my husband and I for the past 15 months since my step father passed away last year, has been renovating a house and is now moving into it this past week, which means most of my spare time has been spent helping her. My husbands birthday has recently passed, to which I made sure to actually focus on him. And to top it off, I work in an office for the company (which I shall not name in fear of anyone tracking this) that recently decided to screw over the healthcare of women in this country. So, needless to say, when I am online in my personal time, I'm mostly looking for a new job. Oh, did I also mention my brother and his family, whom I only get to see twice a year, are in town right now? Fourth, I have a nasty case if writer's block. I actually wrote my first Drabble the other day. I'm super excited to have actually made that step towards writing again. So, again, goodbye anon reader. I'm sorry it didn't work out. You are always welcome to read again. We don't mind if anyone stops reading our story for a while just to come back to it when they have the time in their lives. Love, Jenna/Panem/LoveForPanem
