Poetry Slam - Evocative Line

Edrian's "Without You" piece

The line i speculated about in this piece was when Edrian said "without you there wouldn't be any U-turns". This reminded me of what Mr. Tulner always says about never having a second chance at a first love, but the fact that you still can have a first chance with your second love (wow I do listen in class). I also thought about how you can't backtrack to how things were without the person you love.... because you wouldn't even have anything to go back to. With U-turns you'd be stuck in the past, looking for something who's already long gone, who maybe doesn't even want to be found, ...hoping that you'll find the same person you fell in love with, when you know..it's already far too late. You could be constantly taking U-turns, going around endlessly in circles in search for someone who won't be there. I also thought about everyone's individual paths in life in terms of U-turns. How maybe you U-turned without needing to, leaving the one you love. Second chances are hard to come by :( anyways great poem Edrian! and everyone else's pieces were amazing as well!! Also the people who came out to watch...you're cool too..don't worry, I didn't forget about you guys
