Genuinely, this man is just a goof along with being such a sweetheart. When he’s not too focused on a current project that is.
Though that’s mostly cause he’s pre-tricky, if anything as Tricky he would probably be more unhinged and unstable.
I imagine that he would meet his s/o who also works at the agency he also works at. Whether you’d be a scientist, agent, soldat, etc.
I also think of him as someone who isn’t clumsy whenever he’s working alone or with other scientists who are assigned to the same project he’s on.
But whenever it comes to you, he’s always tripping over his own words along with having with this goofy smile on his face.
Hoffnar couldn’t help it, you’re just that intoxicating and warm to be around.
He just really loves his s/o.
From time to time he’ll try to make you laugh too by telling you little jokes to brighten your day
Other times he’ll just try to make sure you won’t overwork yourself like he does to himself.
If you’re a soldat or an agent, he’d hate whenever you’d be sent out when a lockdown occurs when Hank would raid the facility you’re both in.
If anything that would probably put a lot more stress on him more than the work that’s piled onto him.
If you’re a scientist, then he would probably help you with whatever work you have on your plate, trying to take off some weight off your shoulders.
But you always end up scolding him for that considering he himself already has a lot on him.
So instead, he’d mostly try to cheer you up by either putting a smile on your face or would do little things like give you coffee or tea.
Which ever you prefer honestly, he just wants to make sure you’re okay just like what you do with him.
Which by the way, he really loves the care you give to him.
The amount of times he’d pass out on his desk only to wake up on the couch that was in office with a blanket over him is ridiculous.
The first time it happened, Hoffnar would look around, confused with how he had even gotten onto the couch only to see that there was a mug with freshly brewed coffee and a note from you.
It made him melt reading it as it told him to get some rest and to take care of himself in your hand-writing.
