Tyson Owens was considered a loser amongst his peers; a tech nerd, a comic book reader, and pretty much what most people would call in later years 'not part of the herd'. But something happened during the summer into his senior year of high school. People started to take notice of him more. 'Had he always been this good looking?', 'For a tech nerd, he's pretty cut.' and the one that was really prominent, 'Where has this guy been all these years?'. Simple: he was always there; they were just so wrapped up in themselves to see it. But now were the invitations to parties, the tickets to the cool kid's table but he knew with that would come the trashing of other students that didn't fit the 'social norm'. He heard what they said when it looked like he wasn't paying attention. "He's still a geek," they'd snidely whisper. "But compared to that freak, Alice Liddell, he's definitely one of us..."
