[Yuri Festival] Sweet Candy Kiss [MadoRin - Aikatsu]

Summary/Description: Madoka is sick but she wanted her cake. And Rin had to deal with it. An Aikatsu drabble.

From Rin's sight, for sure Madoka didn't look well. Her face were red, and she looked like she couldn't focus. She must have gotten a fever. However, she still tried to go somewhere. Obviously Rin couldn't stand the sight, and stopped Madoka before she could go anywhere outside the dorm, grabbing her hand. "Madoka, you need to get some rest." Rin declared. "You have an important live show tomorrow, right?" Madoka pouts, shaking her head saying 'I'll be okay' while her eyes still looked very tired. Rin couldn't even think what was so important that made her had to go no matter what. As far as she could remember, it's Madoka's off day today--- she got no idol jobs, and no classes either. "Of course you're not okay! Take some rest, Madoka, please." "No! The special limited cafeteria's donut cake is on sale today!" Naturally, Rin face-palms. She never thought the reason would be that much trivial--- but then, she remembered that it's Madoka she's dealing with. She had always loved cakes more than anything. "So that was just it?" "'Just it? Please, Rin-chan! I need that to feel better!" Madoka pouts again. Rin find her pouting expression cute, but she is even more worried about Madoka's fever. She understood why she might need some sweets to boost up her appetite--- however, letting her to go to cafeteria without any rest would be bad for Madoka. "You're such a sweet tooth, aren't you..." Rin sighed, before she continues, pointing at Madoka's bed. "I'll get it for you, then. Rest." "But I can't rest well unless I got sweets!" "Madoka, please. I'm worried, you know?" Rin's expression turned into one of worry, and Madoka felt a little bad. However, she won't give up just yet. She needed sweets to rest well and get back her appetite so she could recover fast. She's not going to let herself defeated here by Rin. "Then give me some sweets to assure me!", said Madoka, thinking that Rin doesn't have any sweets with her. It's Madoka who is sick, yet Rin was the one most troubled--- Rin sighed once again. It seems like Madoka won't give up yet even if she does have any sweets. An idea strikes Rin's mind at that exact moment, as she remembered she got a candy on her pocket--- courtesy of Sumire-senpai. "Madoka, close your eyes." "You're just getting me to sleep, aren't you? But well, let's see what you got---" For much of Madoka's surprise, Rin ends up kissing her, pushing down the candy to Madoka's throat--- Madoka was surprised, and her red face from fever grew even redder. "There you go. A candy. Now hold still, I'll get your cake." Rin proceeds to ignore blushing Madoka's rambles of Rin being unfair as she went to cafeteria to get Madoka’s cake.

“Fireworks” by Izzy W.

Boom! Bang! Crackle! Fireworks shoot into the air. Thanks to chemistry there is more to these fireworks than just colors and sparkly lights. Every firework contains an element that creates a specific emotional response in the spectators.

In Mr. Madorin’s chemistry class, we looked at the elements and the emotional connections with fireworks. We had to create a panorama and a script or a 15-minute movie. I choose to do a panorama of 36 frames to show 176 fireworks. We pretended we were giving a client a presentation about what we needed to do on the next 4th of July fireworks show. As a class, we had to explain the different types of fireworks, the elements in them, and the emotional response people have to the colors.

Different colors have different types of elements and emotional responses. The color red is produced by strontium salts, lithium carbonate, and strontium carbonate, which give off warmth, love, and joy. Strontium allows the firework to show off a stronger color of red. The color orange contains calcium salts, calcium chloride, and calcium sulfide, which gives off a friendly, relaxing feeling. Blue can contain copper compounds, and if a turquoise color is wanted, add the element copper chloride, which gives the blue a softer shade that appears as turquoise.

Viewing a fireworks display’s different colors produces different reactions in the audience. If there were no elements involved, the fireworks would be bland. I learned that fireworks aren't just something pretty to look at. They are a complex system that we don't even think about while watching the sparkles and pretty colors explode in the sky. I learned so much doing this project and now look at fireworks with a different perspective.
