It is the week of Navratri. A holiday where we celebrate the reincarnation of supreme goddess mahadevi in all her forms.
The first three days commemorate durga - goddess of war, the next three days commemorate lakshmi - goddess of wealth, and the last three commemorate saraswati - goddess of creativity.
Day 1:
Shailputri
- the most gentle, calm, and humble goddess
- In yogic tradition she represents the root chakra. Therefore, a good day to meditate and do asanas focusing on the Mooldhara Chakra
- Shailputri May be worshipped by Mantra: тАЬAum Devi Shailputrya NamahaтАЭ
Day 2:
Bramhacharini Devi
- This is the most headstrong and yogi energy of goddess.
- Chakra rulership: Brahmacharini devi rules the swadisthana chakra or the sacral chakra. It would be a good idea for all you yogis out there to do asanas and Meditation linked with this chakra.тАи
- The mantra for goddess worship: "Aum brahmacharini devaya namaha:"
Day 3:
Maa chandraghanta deviтАи
- This form of goddess is truly inspiring for all yogis trying to awaken their kundalini shakti. Devi has her third eye opened perpetually and is seeing through things beyond known dimensions.тАитАи- In yogic tradition a lot of mystery lies about the activation of third eye. Praying to chandraghanta gives the yogi an advantage of getting their third eye activated too.
- Mantra for Chandraghanta: " Aum Chandraghantaye Devaya Namaha:"
