Wohoo, you just gave me the news I needed^^ Ok I now read through your headcanons, that's enough to make a series out of it! But concerning the Kagune, Ishida sensei seems to have added them after the one-shot, do you plan on implementing them?

thanks! it’s been a while since i’ve worked on that story and frankly i haven’t felt much desire to go back to it recently. but kagune are always pretty fun to write :)

On the other hand even those who wouldn’t join aogiri would further escalate the situation, as their feeding will need to happen on an increasing individual scale and therefore isn’t as efficient as before

I’m not sure how much the Tsukiyama family would have to do with the ghoul’s feeding- it’s possible that they could supply humans but I think with that many ghouls it would probably be easier for them to all hunt for themselves, if that’s what you meant. We saw how Aogiri had difficulties getting enough food to go around- they were feeding Kaneki and others scraps and bones, but then again they didn’t have the powerful connections that the Tsukiyama’s would and probably didn’t care whether they had enough food to go around so I might be wrong on that one.

Whereas Anteiku looked after weak ghouls to give them territory and fed ghouls who didn’t like to hunt humans, my take on the Tsukiyama’s is that they would be more of a network for ghouls to find employment, make connections to other ghouls, find directions to a ghoul doctor if they needed fake blood tests, forge documents, stuff like that. They might supply food sometimes but maybe not on a large scale. Unless they’ve got some human trafficking ring set up to supply humans…. I dunno, its an interesting thought.

But a lot of ghouls would most likely be displaced and need to move after this. They’d probably have to leave their homes, maybe change wards, go underground, etc. and I can only imagine how that would mess up the hunting territories already established. It would be a massive clusterfuck for all involved haha. In that sense, it would be pretty inefficient hunting!

Yeah for sure, that’s a really good point! A lot of them with nowhere else to go would probably see no other choice but to go over to Aogiri for protection. I’m fairly sure that’s how Aogiri gets so many recruits in the first place because they don’t exactly have a very good track record for treating their subordinates nicely. And of course their survival rates can’t exactly be very high- not exactly somewhere most people would go unless they had a good reason! 

The CCG might have just shot themselves in the foot on this one by giving their enemies a whole new batch of recruits. Fun times ahead either way!

I just realised whislt reading ch 44 that Kanou called the twins floppy as they were failures, do you think amon is a failure too and he is somehow deformed or something(his fingers f.e.?

yeah!! i definitely think so. in Amon’s case though, i wonder what the defects are? it seems to at least involve not being able to heal the way that a ghoul would. and i wonder if he can use his kagune at all, since Kanou seems to be investigating problems related to that.
