it's a little a lot mean and she knows it, however that doesn't stop maeve twirling her hair around her finger as she approaches them. "hey! i've been trying to catch you — i was wondering if you wanted to go out for a drink sometime?"

as she rolls her shoulders back she feels a muscle somewhere in the back of her neck protest at the movement, causing a little wince of complaint to fall from her lips. maeve flops herself down onto her couch and lets her gaze settle upon her company. "come, sit." waves a hand towards the plush length of it. doesn't need to invite charlie to make herself comfortable. "i had an early morning class so i'm a little tense still but i'm glad you could come over." has brushed shoulders with charlie so many times; feels like their lives have somehow run parallel to one another. in her head that translates to it meaning something. needs to explore what that is and the only way to do that is by spending time together — something she's made a pointed effort in doing by inviting the other woman over for the evening. had suggested perhaps a movie and some wine, if she'd liked, but for the time being she figures a chat and catch up might just suffice. "how has your day been?"
