Oh! It’s this episode! Greeeat. I’ve heard.. things about this one. At least Johnny came right out of the gate saying that he knows he broke his own rule.

Tbh I was expecting this to be a lot more graphic and brutal than it was. Still not great given the time of release, but eh.

Episode 185

Wow

This was... heavy

The statement was incredibly well written omg.

I am lucky enough that I have never had to deal with police violence myself but reading through the comments and listening to Jonny's intro hit HARD.

I understand why Jonny apologized and said that this was too much of real world trauma included in the lodcast but honestly I think its good and important to include issues like these as well.

About the rest of the episode:

I think it was good and important that Martin got to make the decision about the victim this time. And I completely understand why he chose this way.

But it must have been incredibly difficult for him and i feel really bad that he had to choose.

Its so interesting to see more avout how much in power they really are. Jon, obviously, but especially with being able to change the watched to watcher is such a great responsibility.

Overall, this was an amazing episode but it also hit VERY VERY hard.

And next is Martins domain... and Jon is GONE

The introduction of the episode broke my heart. Knowing that this is what is happening AT THE MOMENT... It makes me sad. And angry.

Ironic that Martin is now grappling with the same stuff that Jon has for a long time: being an avatar, serving your fear, switching mindsets from “They’re monsters” to “I’m one of the monsters now.” And I know the police officer they found would have abused his power if he became an avatar, but his screaming and begging Martin to let him out was still hard to listen to. Martin’s going to have to shoulder the knowledge that people are suffering because of him, just like Jon has. I’m not sure what this will do to their relationship.

The “I’m allowed to know what Spider-Man is” had me laughing. Jon and Martin are such dorks.
