A Mother's Wisdom
They say it’s a gift but meant it like a duty,
Lord blessed will to the man and womb to the lady,
So all you can proffer is a child and pleasing beauty.
But on the way back from our Sunday church, mum said,
“Only purpose of your life, my love, is to love and live freely.”
That’s why I love my mum, she always knows better
She smiled a world and said, “Life won’t be so easy,
Your time will come to find a man and be a little girly,
It’s then you’ll choose a life of love, even if they call you greedy.”
