I noticed something a while back when I was rewatching the last episode of season one. Remember when they were walking through the forest and Belle’s curse is broken. She realizes who she was and who Rumple was and everything. She hugs rumple and says that she loves him. He says he loves her too but that they’ll have time for that later, turns around and goes to the well and brings back magic.

The love of his life! The woman he had held guilt over and pain over! The woman he grieved over! His TRUe Love was back from the dead! And he’s like ‘hold on hon, Power is more important. Let me drop this potion in this magic well brb.’

She even asks him why he was doing what he was doing and he looked at het with a sneer and said “Because Magic is Power.”
