Thoughts so far:
I’m a sucker for magic series (usually). There are of course exceptions (Black Clover) that don’t necessarily move me, but 90% of the time if it’s a magic series then I’m gonna at least enjoy the action and characters.
When it comes to Black Cat & A Witch, I find the first few chapters to be on the weaker end of the spectrum. Nothing new, nothing really stood out, and they even throw some slight ecchi stuff in there clearly to draw the young boys in.
What has me continuing this manga, is the few mysteries that have been put in place which are clear indicators of a (possibly) deeper story being told.
With that being said, I’m hoping that the story finds a true identity, because I do really enjoy the main character, Spica. I do want to see her become a First-Class Magician because of how big her heart is. If the manga doesn’t seem to pick up, I’ll definitely be dropping (and posting an update)!
