Magic shadows Chapter Three

Chapter three is out! i hope you guys like it :D

Chapter Three

That night Lucius listened to the report of two boys about a female shadow that had so easily beaten a giant Unstable. The report came from a navy haired teen and a golden hair child. Sylen he believe his name was stepped up and placed his hand on a small rounded gem.

The gem projected his memories for Lucius to watch. He watched in slight amusement as this female easily took down a Unstable fox shadow. he notice that Kuro was either curious or found himself a new role model. Then he saw the marks of wings on the girls back.

"She is a level five?" Lucius asked as he burned that mark into his memory.

"Yes sir, She said she was working on being a level U" Sylen said 

"It was so cool that she made it glow" Kuro exclaimed loudly and Sylen scolded him.

Lucius didn't notice as he was lost in his own thoughts. He was thinking how it would benefit to have a Level five shadow in their resistance against Sven. She is Currently working to become a Level U which is even better. If this girl could really achieve that level she may be the only chance to defeat the evil ruler. Sylen interrupted his thoughts:

"Sir Lucius what are your thoughts on this female shadow?" 

"Track her down, follow her and find her place of work and home. I will give my orders after I have that report" with that Lucius was left with the image of a female with intense purple eyes and a shadow mark or wings.

It took several days for the report to come back, but finally it came. By the time he heard all that there was to be told. Her name was Jinx, she worked at a cafe called Wizards bread and lived in a condominium not far from from it.

"Sylen bring Kuro at once!" Lucius ordered 

Sylen nodded and walked to the door where a golden haired boy was waiting. Kuro looked up in surprise and was rushed in. The boy was in ratty clothing as were all the resistances, except that is Lucius. He was dressed nicely, he said it was to give off the air of Authority, he had long silver hair that was tied at the nape of his neck with a blue ribbon. His eyes were a cold silvery blue and he was tall and thin but fit.

"Kuro I want you to come with me to meet Jinx. Were going to the Cafe where she works. to convince her to come with us. If that does not work then I shall leave you in her care until she changes her mind, Keep this in mind Kuro do not let her get away from you and if she does you will be punished"

Kuro gulped and nodded scared at what his leader was to do if he should fail. Lucius smiled as he stood up and put a hand on the boys shoulder and led his out the side door, into the main hall and out of the building. Both of them headed in the direction of the Cafe. They made their way in silence Kuro was very tence and onalert the whole way there.

In the window of the Cafe they saw her, Jinx, she was wrapping up pastries and bread for a costumer. Kuro didn't even notice his leader go in without him. Jinx was wearing burgundy shirt with a black skirt a and flats. her long hair was in a long thick braid and she smile at everyone. at that moment he wished he had someone to smile at him but everyone always scolded him or made him do hard things and when he couldn't do it right they would administer a punishment.

Most punishments were harsh and left life long scars. Kuro had many covering his back. He looked up and saw that Jinx and the leader were sitting at a table together. The leader looked over and seem to beckon to him. Kuro walked into the shop and to the table quickly.

"Now that the boy is hear will you talk to me?" Lucius asked

"Gladly, one minute though" Jinx said as she grab a waitress by the arm and asked if she wouldn't mind bringing her some tea and cakes. "Ok start talking Mr... ?"

"Please call me Lucius, anyways I would like to talk to you about the Unstable you fought and the shadow mark you have on your back" As he said those things Jinx scanned the room quickly and then glared at him that was intense that it sent a shudder strait to his soul.

"It be so kind if you did not talk about that when I am at my work. I don't want my coworkers knowing about my fights ok?"

Lucius nodded and that's when the tea and cakes were served. Jinx said a thanks to the waitress who smile whispered something in Jinx's ear making her frown. The waitress bounced away and when Kuro took a bite of the cake, his tastes-buds went while. The cake was moist and sweet and tasted of a rich chocolate. He gulped the cake down and heard Jinx laugh softly.

Kuro looked up and saw she was smiling at him. He blushed and thought he was being childish eating the cake the way he did. so he sipped his tea and tasted like milk and honey.

"Do you like it?" 

Kuro nodded at Jinx and smiled. Lucius ate his cake and drank his tea in a quick but respectful manner. then he stood up and bowed to Jinx.

" shall leave you Kuro for when you decide you wish to visit." Lucius sad and he turned and left.

Jinx let out a long sigh and she looked to Kuro with tired eyes. he was worried that she would make him leave And if he failed he would be punished. Kuro looked down sadly then looked out the window in the direction of the resistance home.

"Well I guess if you are sticking around you might as well come to the back to stay out of the way" she said as she directed him to the back ha to a spot in the far corner  "You wont get run over here so stay here an I will get you when my shift is over"

so Kuro sat there in the warm corner and watched cooks and waiters and waitresses go by. He was happy Jinx didn't shoe him off, it gave him hope she might actually come with him! and he wont be punished. He didn't think anymore for he fell asleep lulled my the warmth coming from the ovens.

When Kuro woke he was no longer in the cafe but in a room with deep blue and green walls that gave the effect the he was underwater. He looked around saw the door and when through it, down a narrow hall with a few doors and then into a kitchen. Kuro saw Jinx, who was cooking then an older women with chestnut colored hair. She was furiously writing or typing on her laptop.

Jinx turned and saw Kuro standing there and looking around. she smiled and walked over to him. ushering to sit down next to the women. and setting a plate of food down in front of him. It was a plate of pasta and a red sauce with chicken on top.

"I'm glad your awake Kuro! Eat you food, then get a shower" Jinx said ruffling his dirty hair.

She washed her hands before she made the women's plate and her own. sat down next to Kuro and handed the busy women her plate.

"That's Ambrel, if you were wondering Kuro she raised me along with her son Willis"

"Is she a shadow to?" Kuro whispered to Jinx

Jinx laughed lightly "No, no she is human as is her son but I grew up with them"

Kuro ate his food slowly trying to show how mature he was but he was so hungry it took everything he had not to wolf the food down.  After he ate he had a long bath because Jinx said if she found a speck of dirt on him she was sending right back. 

The cloths that were neatly folded in the blue and green room were not the his own. he searched for his cloths. In the end he put on the soft shirt, underwear, pants, and boots that was lined with fur but surprisingly didn't over heat. There was a warm jacket because it was starting to get in the colder months now but Kuro didn't put that on just left it on the bed.

He left the room and went to the bathroom to look for his old cloths. They wernt where he had set them last. he walked into the room ans saw Jinx was washing dishes, Ambrel still working. Kuro cleared his throat.

Jinx turned and looked him up and down after a bit she said: "Now doesn't that look and feel better?"

"where did you get these cloths for me? I can't possible accept these what if i mess them up their way to nice to even wear"

"When you were sleeping, anyways cloths are made for wearing and when you need new ones I will get you new ones. I got them because if you are going to hang around I'll not have you running around in rag's" Jinx said matter of factually. "I can't have you running around naked either! I threw those horrid things out!"

Kuro's mouth fell open. His cloths that the Leader gave him were gone? Well yeah they were not the best of cloths but they were good enough. Ambrel leaned over and closed Kuro's mouth. 

"You will catch fly's if your moth stays open like that. And my dear Jinx is right those rag's for cloths wouldn't due for much longer especially since it is about to get cold" Ambrel finished what she had to say and went back to typing.

Just then a young man walked through the front door. He had chestnut hair like Ambrel. Kuro guessed this was Willis. He had amber eyes and was tall and muscular.

"Who is our new visitor?" the man said

"Willis this is Kuro, Kuro this is Willis" Jinx said as she handed a plate to Willis as he sat at the table.

"Nice to meet you champ" he said as he patted Kuro on the head.

once Jinx had washed all the dished she went back to the blue and green room, he later found out was her room. She walked out a few minutes later in to the tank and shorts he had first seen her in. and what he didn't notice was different boots they were the complete same yet one was much shorter then the other.

"Wanna go unstable hunting with me?" She asked

"Yeah!"

Magic Shadows Chapter Two

Chapter of Magic Shadows sorry It has taken so long to write these chapters I had Writers block but within the next few days many chapters should come out.

Chapter Two

Jinx jumped down off the play set and stood right in front of the raging monster. The Unstable stopped just feet before her. It's nostrils flared and it seemed to be considering Jinx as if she dared to stop a creature like itself.

The Unstable gave out a loud scream and swiped its enormous hand at her. Jinx Jumped before being hit with a forceful hit that sent a bench flying. Jinx ended up landing on the wrist of the creature.Quickly she ran up the arm and turned into a spin kick knocking the Unstable to the ground with a an earth trembling thud.

The creature groaned and tried to get up by supporting it's self on it arm. Jinx kicked out the arm of the monster and it landed hard again. She grabbed its arm and threw the monster out into the soccer field. The creature made sure to get up quickly this time.

It took another swing at Jinx, She Jumped and again landed on the Unstable's arm. But it swung its arm up propelling her into the air. Smirking Jinx did a small flip in the air angling her where she wanted to hit and giving her more momentum. This sent her heel strait into the skull of the Unstable.

With an ear piercing scream the Unstable  collapsed to the ground. Jinx jumped away quickly before blood could cover her. There was a thick oily substance (common Unstable blood) spilling from the slashes in the head where the skull was broken and sticking out of the creatures head.

Walking up to the poor creature after the blood had stopped mostly. She was pleased to see that the shadow markings of this Unstable was on its back. An unstable's shadows marks are Overlapping swirls that shown bright red. This one was now a dull red. Jinx placed her hand on the mark and focused her mind on absorbing its powers. 

The Mark started to glow once again as the creature form into a smooth liquid that shaped into a fox. The shadow fox danced around Jinx until it soon was absorbed into her own shadow marks that were wings on her back and arms. 

There are levels of Shadow strength. A level one has Small intricate interconnecting swirls that formed all over the body. Level two is when the swirls grow large, level three is when the swirls break off into smaller groups of shadows. A level four is when the smaller groups form one larger group on one part of your body, and a Level five is when the marks form a tattoo like mark on the body part where they grouped together when you were a level four. And four the special most strong Shadows The would form more tattoo like marks on other parts of their body's, They were known as Level U for Unstoppable (that is a slight exaggeration).

Jinx sat down to balance the unstable power bouncing around in her. As soon as she down a noise came from behind her a long with a golden hair boy. 

"Hi Miss!" He sat next to her "That was a mighty large Unstable you beat there!"

Jinx nodded as she stared at the boy. the she sighed and said "Just because they are big does not mean they are powerful" The rashness of this boy had surprised her some.

"I completely disagree with that!" Said a navy blue haired boy that came and stood by the golden haired boy. "The larger the more powerful!"

"Have you even beaten an Unstable?" Jinx couldn't help but smile at these two shadow boys. the golden haired one was about six and the other was about sixteen give or take a few years.

"No" Said navy hair

"Then how do you know?"

"Lucius out leader told us!" said gold hair

"Kuro!"

"What!? Did I say something wrong Sylen?"

The golden haired boy, Kuro looked at her with eyes to tell them that they were right about the Unstable's. The navy haired boy, Sylen was scowling at Kuro.

"Well, I have beaten countless Unstable's in my life and I think the smaller ones that can maintain their form somewhat are harder to beat. I say this because they can maneuver faster then regular larger shadows" Jinx explained.

Sylen seemed to be contemplating this idea. Then he looked Jinx over and Something registered in his mind. He gestured to her arm to hold it out. Intrigued jinx held out her arm and let him study it.

"You don't have a single swirl pattern.. You must be very powerful may i see your shadow mark?" 

Jinx nodded and stood up. She moved her hair to the side and let the stable power she had balanced and channeled it into her own power. This made the wing marks glow a deep purple color.

Both of the boys gasped as they saw her mark. She looked back at them and saw Kuro smiling wildly and Sylen deep in thought. She luaghed a little as the glow faded. she turned and patted the child on the head softly. He smiled more.

"You are a level Five I take it then?" Sylen asked

"yes I am working on becoming level U" Jinx said stretching some "Well boys I'm off to go home, you should do the same" 

Both boys said goodbye and they parted ways.
