I was at a cosplay restaurant earlier with my family and I've been out to my parents for a few years now but only recently got a girlfriend. I think that finally made it sink in for my dad that I liked girls too. Anyways the staff is walking around in full costume many of which are comic book characters and being the huge nerd I am, I start looking for details in the costumes to see which versions of each character they are. For example, the Harley Quinn on staff was from Arkham city, a nice change from all the suicide squad Harleys. When Supergirl passed by our table I was impressed by the quality of her costume. The material looked thick and sturdy unusual for a cosplay you work in. Her hair was also meticulously done in Smallville waves and tucked behind her ears. But what really grabbed my attention was that the boots she wore while equally expensive looking were from a wonder woman costume. Kara's boots are similar to Diana's but I could see the late 70s tv show all over them. My inspection of her costume must have lasted from the time she turned the corner by our booth until she disappeared into the kitchen across the restaurant. My dad laughed loudly and embarrassingly in my face before turning very serious and saying "just because your a girl doesn't mean you can check someone out so hard like that in public. It's creepy." At first, I tried to defend myself but quickly decided that yelling over the rest of my loud table wasn't going to convince anybody and besides, that's good advice.
