Magic Rock | Human Cannonball Double IPA 9.2% Exactly one third less than its tropical sibling, and this one has a spicy, savoury attitude to life. I went to Magic Rock recently for a brewery tour, and tasted their acidulated malt first hand like a snack. Sour malt, didn't even know it existed. It was beautiful and I can taste it going on here for sure. It's slightly tart and tangy at the end, not just juice. I'm thinking that even though lower in ABV, this badger is a bigger beast to polish off. Magic Rock | Un-Human Cannonball Triple IPA (And it's slightly unhappier mate) Like many, I'm warming up for @hopcityleeds with the best thing in my fridge. This is complete juice, I don't think I've had a UK beer that has nailed the juicy IPA like this. Completely opaque, like a glass of Tropicana, chock full of pineapple and tangerine, it's like I've just been smacked round the face with the Man from Delmontes Y Fronts! I should be drinking this to Daft Punks Robot Rock, it's just so easy drinking and how often can you say that about 11%? A massive step up from last year, gives the Cloudwater V Bombs a run for their money, and in my eyes wins the race.
