As it was fortold, by the Ancient Ones of ... Old Timey ... times. The prophecy of you making a mess in my room with your guacamole, has come to pass. Geez, man! At least act a little sorry! Necromancers.. ugh!

It’s another week of sketches! These were from 2015-2020. These are more world building sketches, trying to get ideas for some human-like characters that live there. I am definitely not a fashion designer, ha!

The first picture is of a lady high-official who’s trying to hide her identity while on the run. The second picture is of another official, this time a person on the council, and is a high level magic user. I was trying to doodle some sort of unusual outfit ideas for her to wear. The guy in the middle, is an idea for a member of the crew or a council member. I wanted him to have big, angular tattoos. The third guy, is the lover of the council woman and is not a magic user.

The third picture are of two main characters (that I might have outgrown), one was part of a rebel sector and the other is a spy, both can use magic to a medium level and very high level respectively. I was playing with their design, and have since moved past the idea of them having primary colored skin colors. The fourth picture is another idea for a member of the crew; he would be third in command of a famous vessel: The Blue Jay. He would be from the same family as the man in the second picture and share similar tattoos.

The fifth picture is a sea captain, before and after she suffered an accident at sea. She is a medium level magic user. She was well known for her skills as a captain and is a rival to some of the main characters.

The sixth picture has the busts of two more background captains and medium level magic users. The center drawing is a robot character of mine, and doesn’t belong in the same world as the rest of the characters pictures here. Tattoos are pretty popular for captains and crew members of high position as it is a quick reminder of their family (lots of nepotism in the higher positions).

The seventh picture is of another captain, who is also a medium level magic user. She is the girlfriend to one of the main character‘s second in command (not pictured here). I played around with naming her Taffeta, but I don’t think I’ll keep it. She has a twin brother who is known for his music.

The eighth picture is another crew mate idea, and a doodle of Erifa‘s before I settled on her design.

The final picture is either another picture of the captain in the sixth picture, or will be a different character and I’ll change their haircuts to differ later. She is medium-high magic user, with gold tattoos that cover her whole body. She might be a member on the council.

Meet Lisette George. She was born October 27th, making her 17 years old. Lisette is currently on her way back to the safe house. She is a Siren that looks a lot like Annasophia Robb.

Lisette George was considered ‘popular’ by her schoolmates. She was invited to parties, asked out on dates, and was always involved. She didn’t like this, though. She knew it was just because she was pretty, not because people actually knew her. Lisette always felt weird around the other girls. She didn’t dress or act like them, nor did she have any desire to. The young girl had always been very influential, but when she turned 14, Lisette’s powers as a Siren became evident. She ran off, and eventually met Emerson Cutler, a member of the Underground Railroad. He told her what she was, and that he could help her. She went with him, and eventually they met Rebekah Coin, who Lisette quickly became close friends with. Just before the three of them reached the Final Safe House, agents from the government found them, and Lisette was captured. Fortunately for her, the agents keeping watch over her not only had no idea what she could do, but were very weak minded and easily controlled. She escaped after a few months, and is backtracking to the last railroad stop she stayed at.

Meet Jessica Golden. She was born July 7th, making her 15 years old. Jessica is currently a runaway. She is a Death Bringer that looks a lot like Olivia Holt.

Back then people would’ve thought what Jessica could do was freaky. Now people thought what Jessica could do was freaky. It just couldn’t have been one of the cool helpful powers she got. No, Jessica was one of those magic users that were ‘blessed’ with the ability to see visions of people dying. This power of Jessica’s has haunted her ever since she could remember. Of course the blond girl didn’t always know about these powers, and in all honesty, she wished she could go back to those innocent days. The days where she wasn’t being hunted by the government, the days where she couldn’t sense if someone was close to dying or not. Going on her third month of traveling the railroad, Jessica’s pretty sure she’s closer to loosing hope for anything good to happen to her, so don’t be fooled by her upbeat attitude when you come across this desperate girl.

Meet Cambria Farlek. She was born on October 5th, making her 21 years old. Cambria is currently a Railroad leader. She is a changeling that looks a lot like Katy Perry.

Before Cambria joined the railroad, she was at school in a small town in Indiana. She was in fifth grade when the other kids noticed she was different. "I heard she killed someone," kids would mutter behind her back. She never denied the truth. She did. But it was an accident, she swore by it. Even so when the government discovered the magic users in the States, she was one of the fist ones targeted. Her past matched up to what the Basics called a Changeling. Her brother was mauled by a large animal, the kids at school told the cops that whenever they went to the zoo she would talk to the animals. Since she was 11 she has been running. Wandering. Floating. When she was 14 she found the Railroad, a group of other magic users like her. She was able to shift into her forms without being made fun of, or run away from. She was able to meet a group of people who understood her past. Understand that she had no control over what she did the first few times she changed. It took her years to escape the animalistic tendencies and control her animal forms.

Now Cambria is a leader of the railroad, helping Changelings control themselves and saving new members. She's one of the oldest members of the Railroad and has witnessed many losses. She doesn't get too attached to people because she knows that even at the final house, the saved can still be killed on missions.
