Residential Rental Ver | 3 Units ; 152 simoleons/day Each unit comprises single occupancy butler's quarters in the basement, two shared bedrooms with space for three teens each on the upper floors, and two rooms on the top floor for YA/Adult occupancy - all other rooms in the building are shared. The gameplay idea I had here was that three 'families' of six teens (3 M, 3 F) with two YA/Adult 'teacher's occupy each of the three "rental units" - making, essentially, a mega academy style lot. I designed each 'unit' for a different occult type - vampire, werewolves, and spellcasters :3 fun or chaotic and stressful I dunno lol

INTERIOR

Ground Floor

Entry and main corridors with central 'winter garden' with domed glass ceiling. Communal library, den, art/music classroom, wc, potions classroom, dining room with shared kitchen facilities, herbology classroom, and meditation/'chapel' room.

First Floor

Four lightly themed bedrooms to sleep three teen sims each, two large communal bathrooms with shower, bath and wc stalls, den area, and candle making/misc classroom.

Second Floor

Divination classroom, woodworking/gemology classroom, two further communal bathroom areas, and two bedrooms to sleep 3 teen vampires each.

Third Floor

Six individual bedrooms for YA/Adults, two shared single bathroom spaces.

Basement

Large swimming pool, changing area, and laundry rooms. Butlers' quarters, storage rooms, and staff kitchen.

Magic Duel are Fun Now! (And Some Other Tweaks!)

I noticed that whenever a sim had to leave the magic realm, my spellcaster would automatically lose the duel. Every single time. So I tried manipulating duel weights to see if that would make a difference. It did not. But I still think the tweaks I made were fun, so I'm sharing them here. All of my adjustments affect both participants of the duel, so they're not one sided.

Duel Tweaks!

Master Duelist- This perk's effect is doubled. Originally it's weight multiplier is 2, so I made it 4. IT was strong before, and it's stronger now.

Magical Resonance- While in the magic realm, this perk multiplies the chance of success by 2.5. Apparently, this perk had no effect on duels before this. I always assumed it did... Oh well. Now it does. Arcane Ascendance- This is the moodlet granted from wearing charged moonstone jewelry. It now increases the chance of duel success with a modest... 1.75 multiplier. Duels are Fun Now!- Watching magic duels, and participating in magic duels, now increase fun! Except heated duels. heated duels are not fun. They are serious business.

Zer0's Deadly Duel Mod!

I also updated Zer0's old deadly duel's mod because it's what I use and i wanted everything to be consistent. All of my previous tweaks have been applied, (except fun,) as well as some other adjustments.

Requires XML Injector- This is the only requirement. You do not need Zer0's death interactions for this mod, just have XML injector.

Sages Aren't Special- Zero increased the chances for sages to win duels, making the, stronger than normal spellcasters. I understand the fantasy, but I like using sages as a barometer to see how far my sim has come. So I capped the power ceiling. Made it universal. Sages no longer have their own unique multiplier.

But The Bloodlines...- Zero's original mod gave ancient bloodline spellcasters a MASSIVE 20 multiplier for deadly duels, and honestly??? I kinda fucks with it. I left it in there, but I added weights for the other bloodline traits too. Strong bloodline gets a multiplier of 10. Weak bloodline gets a multiplier of 5. So when the stakes get existential, all the bloodlines weigh in to some degree. (Bloodline weights were not added to my other duel tweaks. the only time bloodlines matter for duels is when they're deadly.)That's all I got for now, so go!

Suggested Sims 4 Scenario

Notes:

This Scenario requires Realm of Magic Game Pack.

This is just a suggestion - you can change the genders or the relationships.

Basically, you need two sims with a good relationship:

The Ghost - the girl who died tragically.

The Spellcaster - her husband, who swore to become a master spellcaster to use an unthamed spell and bring her back to life.

Restrictions:

Starting with $20,000.

You can't add the ghost to the family. You must make her die and summon her ghost with the required spell (Necrocall).

Suggestion: Give the Spellcaster the Spellcraft & Sorcery aspiration.

End Goal:

Make the spellcaster cast the Dedeathify spell on her ghost.

Although one of my more popular lot traits, this Covenstead Lot Trait used to be rather barebones. That’s now no longer the case! I have refreshed this lot trait and added in a large assortment of new features (see list below) while also improving its few old features. Features: Spellcaster Sims will gather on the lot and autonomously practice magic, duel, (if there is an available cauldron)…

📔 Journal Entry: Familiar Findings

Title: “The Cats Have Secrets” Date: Who even knows, I’ve lost track. The chickens are my calendar now.

I didn’t mean to adopt three cats. It sort of… happened. Gran says it was meant to. She also says cats choose you, not the other way around.

I’ve been keeping notes. Just in case this is all connected.

🐈‍⬛ Thistle

Nickname: The Watcher Traits: Clever · Friendly · Free Spirit Currently attached to: Gran

Description: All black, except for his eyes—one green, one gold. Very “black cat on a haunted windowsill” energy, except he’s actually sweet when no one’s watching. Sleeps in the cauldron like it’s his throne. Never runs from loud noises. In fact, I’m not sure he blinks.

Oddities:

Always knows when someone’s at the door before they knock

Shows up in pictures where he wasn’t present

Gran talks to him like he’s her second-in-command

Absolutely hates the garlic braid above the stove

My Theory: Probably just a very weird, very old cat. (Probably.)

🐈 Wisp

Nickname: The Disappearing One Traits: Playful · Free Spirit · Curious Currently attached to: Me… maybe. Sometimes?

Description: Silver tabby with wide eyes and the softest paws I’ve ever felt. Wisp is quiet—so quiet that sometimes I don’t realize she’s in the room until she jumps into my lap. But then she’s gone again. Like, actually gone. She vanishes. I’ve checked behind furniture. Nothing.

Oddities:

Slipped through the closed bathroom door once

Brought me a blue feather I’ve never seen in any bird book

Meows at the pendant when I forget I’m wearing it

My Theory: Definitely just a cat. A really athletic one. Who maybe walks through walls. Somehow.

🐈 Maple

Nickname: The Cuddle Monster Traits: Lazy · Affectionate · Clever Currently attached to: My entire emotional state

Description: Big, fluffy ginger girl with the energy of a warm quilt and a cup of sleepytime tea. She’s basically my shadow. Follows me when I water the plants, naps near me when I read, sits on the porch with me at sunset. Somehow always knows when I’m feeling off.

Oddities:

Hissed at Vlad before I even knew who he was

Sleeps curled up next to my pendant

Gran looked at her the other day and got real quiet. Didn’t say why.

My Theory: She’s just smart. And soft. And maybe a little too emotionally intuitive for a normal cat.

So yeah. Three cats. All strange in their own little ways. All completely at home here.

Maybe it’s not the house that’s magical. Maybe it’s them. Or maybe it’s me.

I don’t know what any of this means yet. But I feel safer with them here. Like they’re waiting for something to happen—and I won’t have to face it alone.
