An Introduction

So, any good blog needs an engaging writer, a host with the most, someone capable of delivering witty one liners and deep meaningful posts.  But just who is the charismatic and fiercely intelligent and gorgeous young man behind the keyboard?  

The name’s Jake and I shall be your guide here through the minefield I call my mind and all the weird and (hopefully) entertaining crap I’ll post.  I am usually quite awful at describing myself, which is ironic considering my borderline egomania, but I’ll give you some bullet points of the important stuff to know.

I’m currently 26 years old (but I look like I’m 19 at absolute best, 16 if I go clean shaven)

I am involved in the world of professional wrestling (more on this later) as a manager and sometimes commentator for the local Midwest scene.  

I am an avid fan, collector, and enthusiast of comic books and graphic novels.  I grew up on Marvel, but I currently identify more as a DC fan.  Superman and Thor are my two favorite characters with Captain America, Doctor Doom, Loki, Captain Marvel (all of them), Wonder Woman, Power Girl, Daredevil, Guy Gardner, and tons of others following behind.

I am likewise as obsessed with Dragon Ball  in virtually all forms, barring Dragon Ball GT or Garbage Trash as I like to call it.  I follow other anime, too, but not nearly as much as DB/DBZ.

I’d probably describe my political views as leaning more to the left than anything and being pro-human rights and general social equality regardless of gender, race, creed, etc.  As far as religion goes, I guess I’d qualify as being more agnostic than athiest if only because the universe is so vast and humanity is so inferior (and stupid) in comparison, I don’t think I’m arrogant enough to plainly say for sure that there’s not some invisible magic man in space who made everything.  But if said magic man exists, I highly doubt he’s anything like how he’s described in the Bible or other religious texts simply because mankind lies and is dumb.

I am a hopeless (emphasis on hopeless) romantic.  I also am horribly awkward and shy around the opposite sex.  Usually my dating game centers around stammering like an idiot and being oblivious to clues and hints.  This invariably leads to sobbing at night while masturbating.  Just kidding!  I don’t cry during.

Anyway, these are the core “truths” to who I am.  Of course there’s other stuff to find out such as my favorite food, people who I cannot stand existing, which Queen song is the best (the answer is all of them), which celebrities I’d have moderately enjoyable sex with, and the various triggers to my inevitable rants and tirades that will hopefully be amusing for you to read and therapeutic for me to write.
