CRIME WIVES SQUAD, NEVER SURRENDER !!
This is of course based on this pulp paperback cover:
and I think it would be VERY cool if lots of people redrew this for Mamselle Miss and Magnon in their own style :D
Magnon is in her Servant Garb , of course, and Mamselle Miss is being Fashionable-- her dress is based silhouette-wise on this, but I took out most of the detail because I think the solid block of Red is important to this composition. I DID keep the ribbon ties though. For hopefully obvious reasons.
I love these two so much, the fashionable high-end jewelry thief and the maid getting blackmail on employers , they're so good and they can have so much fun!
When your thief girlfriend gets you a present, sometimes it’s best not to ask too many questions

CRIME WIVES!!!! 🔪🔪🔪🫀 @lesmisshippingshowdown
(yeah it's that one scene from shanghai express and that is still recognisably marlene dietrich on the right 🤣)
Magnon was a sort of fashionable woman in the sphere of crime. She was careful about her toilet. She shared her lodgings, which were furnished in an affected and wretched style, with a clever gallicized English thief. This English woman, who had become a naturalized Parisienne, recommended by very wealthy relations, intimately connected with the medals in the Library and Mademoiselle Mar’s diamonds, became celebrated later on in judicial accounts. She was called Mamselle Miss.
...
“Mamma,” resumed the elder [of the two children], “is a lady who lives with Mamselle Miss.”
