My humble offering for Magolfin Day

He hated Finno for that. For the way he did not even hesitate before walking to his death because he could not live without trying to save his Russo.

He hated himself more for doing what Nelyo had said and leaving him.

“Oh Kano,” Nolofinwë soothed, “he left us both here to finish what he started.”

Kano had not felt the tears falling until Nolofinwë reached forward to wipe them from his face.

It was the first kind touch since Nelyo had kissed his forehead before riding out to his doom and just like that kiss it lacked everything his broken, doomed heart needed.
