Day 2 in Myanmar - Mandalay: One of the most important temples in Myanmar is Mahamuni Pagoda that has a 13-ft tall seated Buddha with a 6-in layer of pure gold that is applied by male devotees over centuries. It's believed to be 2000 years old. Females can only watch, but cannot go near the Buddha image, which surprised us. We tried finding out the reason, but didn't get any, sadly. Do you know why?
