केरल, कर्नाटक और तमिलनाडु के घाट वाले इलाकों में अगले 48 घंटों के दौरान तेज बारिश की संभावना है।

मौसम विभाग के अतिरिक्त महानिदेशक  मृत्युंजय महापात्र ने नई दिल्ली में  मंगलवार को कहा कि बंगाल की खाड़ी पर कम दबाव का क्षेत्र बन गया है, जो मानसून को और अधिक सक्रिय बनाएगा।

Acording to the scriptures, feeding these priests and giving them items that belonged to the deceased, is a way for the deceased to receive salvation. It is believed that the more the Mahapatras are fed, and the more offerings they are given, the more the deceased soul receives through them. During the ritual, they are traditionally offered a meal consisting of puris made with ghee, vegetables, pickles, curd, sugar, sweets and savouries.
