To be honest, I wrote the drabble in 3 minutes 39 seconds and then the next song came on and I wrote that, so at the time I didn't think about the future very much. (These drabbles require rushingggg!) Most of the time if you ask me about Jongyu my ~feelings~ get ahold of me and I return to my natural proclivity to think of them as being inevitably longterm and long-lasting.
It is romantic, yes, definitely -- fuelled by attraction, passion and heat, because Jinki did notice Jonghyun was shirtless right off the bat. I love summery settings too. Because of that, if I'd continued the drabble it would have probably been airy and humid (and hot, pffft) like summer. A whirlwind fling. Because of circumstance they'd eventually have to separate, but Jinki would undoubtedly make his way to his cousins' house for a visit again.
I'd like to think they'd have an on-again, off-again thing for a couple hormonal years, confined to school breaks except for the one time Jonghyun visits the city. Perhaps they'd even have some awkward intervening contact through skype and cellphones, the knowledge that things would be different if they lived closer. Maybe, eventually, Jonghyun's musical leanings could get him into a college near Jinki. It's hard to say when I didn't think on that while writing buuuut I love the possibilities C:
