OMG I know the song you wrote this drabble for. You're a writing genius. That song was made for Jongyu crossdressing smut and I didn't know it until just read yours.

Ahhh thank you so much <3 I really like the song and it fit my mood, so I guess that's where it came from. Though when I read the lyrics I suddenly needed to re-do it as a dystopia, hence the version 2 I did in the next set of drabbles. But yeah I'd probably like to squeeze a lot of songs into Jongyu crossdressing contexts --.  --.

Super sorry I didn't get back to you for a while lovely! Hmm to be honest though I think in this verse they actually get more distant after the 'encounters' (lol) start. I think they talk less in gatherings because they're not sure what to say or how to act. (Blowjobs are a big elephant in the room.) It changes over time though, and an element of teasing gets thrown in at times when, for instance, Jinki notices Jonghyun watching him at a party. They're kind of playing it by ear, and since it's a touchy subject and they weren't best friends to begin with they don't have good communication about it.

lol exactly what happened when my parents decided to donate our books when we moved ;;;;; they agreed to keep their very favorites, which means the books in their bedroom, but we’re drowning in books again in our new house .__.

haha sounds so familiar! :D my parents are thinking of moving too, in a couple of years, and we just have so much stuff that they'd need to start clearing that already. but books are such a problem!

then again, I've only lived in my apartment for two years, and I'm already now out of bookshelves........ I don't know where to fit any more. but books.

To be honest, I wrote the drabble in 3 minutes 39 seconds and then the next song came on and I wrote that, so at the time I didn't think about the future very much. (These drabbles require rushingggg!) Most of the time if you ask me about Jongyu my ~feelings~ get ahold of me and I return to my natural proclivity to think of them as being inevitably longterm and long-lasting.

It is romantic, yes, definitely -- fuelled by attraction, passion and heat, because Jinki did notice Jonghyun was shirtless right off the bat. I love summery settings too. Because of that, if I'd continued the drabble it would have probably been airy and humid (and hot, pffft) like summer. A whirlwind fling. Because of circumstance they'd eventually have to separate, but Jinki would undoubtedly make his way to his cousins' house for a visit again.

I'd like to think they'd have an on-again, off-again thing for a couple hormonal years, confined to school breaks except for the one time Jonghyun visits the city. Perhaps they'd even have some awkward intervening contact through skype and cellphones, the knowledge that things would be different if they lived closer. Maybe, eventually, Jonghyun's musical leanings could get him into a college near Jinki. It's hard to say when I didn't think on that while writing buuuut I love the possibilities C:

Yes, in #1 I was going for an Americana country sort of feel, if not necessarily Tom Sawyer... Jinki's on his summer break and went to stay with his uncle's family. They live in a big country house with a lot of acreage and of course the farm across the back fields belongs to Jonghyun's family. It's not set in the past, though. c:
